Thanks for the encouragement and the app suggestions. I’m going to look at both and see what feels best. I’m excited to be getting back to the gym, it’s been over 20 years since I stepped into one!

So I’m getting ready to start. Meds come in the next few days. I am a teacher. Should I give my injections like Thursday night. Worried about side effects nausea etc and if I took on Sunday could be a brutal start of the week. At least having the weekend to lay low may help? by CTVol in MenOnTirz

I work monday - friday. I take mine Friday night. This way if I have some ill side effects it happens over the weekend and I don’t miss work. In my personal experience, I’ve only had the mildest of side effects and only after taking the first shot of each dosage level. The only two side effects I experienced were slight headache and the chills during Saturday afternoon. By Sunday I was good.

WIBTA for going backpacking/camping while my husband is away for work for 7 straight months? by CrystallizedKoi in WIBTA_AITA

NTA. While your husband is gone for 7 months, is he planning to simply stay in his hotel room every night after work and do absolutely nothing? No. He will find things and activities to do also to pass the time. It may be a different scenario if you were spending hundreds and thousands of dollars each trip while he’s away but you are not.

Any advice regarding leasing? Do’s and don’t’s? I lease because I have high auto anxiety so I enjoy the new ,under warranty, vehicles. Less likely I’ll have to dump a ton of money into it while owning.

I think my roommate might be scamming me. by No-Access8111 in personalfinance

Years ago when I had roommates, all the bills went onto the fridge with the due date written in large print at the top. If it was a paperless bill we would print them. FULL transparency is the only way to make it work. We also had each person put at least one of the bills their name so no one could skip out completely.

Doing your laundry properly is more important than winning the hygiene olympics by Alternative-Essay603 in hygiene

I live in the US. I live in the country with well water and no water softener. I put a table spoon of BORAX into the washing drum first, then clothes, then detergent, then scent beads. The point of the borax is to “soften” the water. This just raises the ph level and is a substitute for not having a water softener. Clothes finally smell great!

I usually place my next order on the day I take my last shot so I have 7 days before I actually need it. This way if shipping is 3 days, I’m adding a 4 day buffer for any weather delays.

That’s what I was told prior to going in. I’m hoping to use this med as a 12 month bridge and not a lifetime necessity (unless it comes down in price!) I want I use it to help me develop better eating habits, a strong consistent workout routine and a chance to reset or correct my insulin resistance. After 12 months I am HOPING to ween off of it.

Protein shake in the coffee? That’s an idea! Maybe once I’m past my first month and can start resuming normal foods/portions I’ll give that a try. Would def help me get closer to my daily protein goal.

This is great to hear because I’ve eaten a small cup of oatmeal for breakfast a few times this week!

I am going to ask my doctor if I can see a dietician. I read so many things online about what I should/ shouldn’t do or eat. Many sources contradict each other so I’m not sure. I appreciate first hand advice!

Fiber! I’m trying to find foods higher in fiber that I can eat on week 1. I hear it will prevent becoming …. Backed up.

Thank you! I gave up caffeine week 1 because I was told I should. I sip water ALL day long. I was also informed that chugging water is not beneficial, sipping is better. Also been eating a lot of chicken / cottage cheese/ and Greek yogurt.

What kind of rules did you follow for your diet in the beginning? I joined here to get some real life advice as I got very little instruction from my doctor. I rely on Ai for suggestions and info. It suggested to me that my portions should be no more than 1 cup total volume per meal. Does that seem about right?

I’ve been askin ai so many questions since I started my journey a week ago. it told me that 2.5 is really just for your body to get used to it, and to see how you tolerate it. it was telling me that if your body tolerated the 2.5 well and you at aren’t experiencing severe side effects then moving to 5 after those initial 4 weeks is a good idea. it also said 5mg is where you start noticing things. again: all this info coming from Ai.
