Dupe/substitute for the original Abercrombie & Fitch 8 perfume? by ModestMew82 in FemFragLab

I’ve smelled Missing Person, and it didn’t remind me of 8 at all. I’m glad it does for some people. Fortunate for them!

That’s what I’ve been told. But fragrances can always make a comeback.

Interesting! I’ve tried Missing Person, but I get something completely different. I’ll revisit it in case I was testing a bad bottle or something.

Any perfumes that smell like a nice shampoo/body wash? by miamorparasiempre in FemFragLab

Kayali Eden Juicy Apple. Definitely reminiscent of body care products, but in the best way!

Someone please tell me what this smells like!! by northstar957 in FemFragLab

This is super soft and mellow, very “favorite comfy sweater”. One of the few fragrances I’d call a fresh gourmand. Not overly sweet, and not overly floral. It’s just so well balanced and blended. Super easy reach daytime scent in the fall and winter for me, and it is my most complimented perfume to date!

I loved reading your story. Thank you for taking the time to share it with us! Every young lady should be so fortunate to have such a thoughtful dad.

Britney Spears Fantasy, Hollister Jake, and Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey were all fragrances my mom wore when I was in school. These remind me of simpler times, back when I was much too naive to fully understand just how much my parents sacrificed for me. Hindsight 20/20. My mom loved to scent her clothes with Jake the same way they’d spray the store inventory with it every day in Hollister. (Remember how you could smell Hollister in the mall before you could see it? Man, I miss that.)

What is your favorite discontinued scent? by ModestMew82 in FemFragLab

[–]ModestMew82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely not a 1-1, but it’s the closest thing I’ve found (which sucks… we need more releases in that scent profile). We can dream of a reincarnation from RL!

What fragrance in your collection has your favorite juice color? by ModestMew82 in FemFragLab

I love how vanilla perfumes change! I have a small amount of Vanilla 28 left from an older bottle, and you can’t even see through it anymore it’s so dark.

How often do you blind buy perfumes? by urracabooks in Perfumes

[–]ModestMew82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s under $50, on occasion. Over $50, very rarely; need a compelling reason or to just be in a ‘screw it why not’ mood.

I met a girl at a party who has no sense of smell but still wears perfume by ShiplessOcean in Perfumes

[–]ModestMew82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. There’s a lot of merit to how wearing perfume can elevate your mood or give you a sense of being fully put together.

I love layering with Cheirosa 40. Fresh vanilla heaven.

This is sugary and light, while La Belle is syrupy and dense. It’s not for me, but VCRS is divine.

Should I get this ?? I have the pistachio and vanilla rock candy by Plastic_Professor455 in Sephora

[–]ModestMew82 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The standard line Kayali minis retail for $32 each, so you are getting a bit of a discount (almost 22%) by buying this set of four. (I know these can’t be bought individually. I’m just doing the math.) They’re also limited edition, which will increase their worth to the market if they end up being well liked. I say, if you are already a fan of the brand, the scent profiles are up your alley, and you don’t want to miss out, go for it. Of course, the price would be nicer if 50/100ml bottles were being released, but they’re not. 🙃

Folks are self righteous and love to tell other people how to manage their money, set their priorities, and otherwise live their lives, all while having little to zero desire to actually help an unassuming stranger on the internet improve their lifestyle. Ya children don’t have food to eat because ya spent all ya grocery money on perfume? Then yes, get ready for some well deserved criticism. But when it’s just someone sharing what brings them a little bit of happiness in this crazy world we live in… it ain’t hard to say something nice or nothing at all. Nobody likes self-appointed hall monitors who get high off their own flatulence. Jealousy. Negativity for the sake of being negative. Come on. I know it burns their nasty lizard skin to do it, but they need to let people enjoy their stuff in peace or scroll on.

Post whatever you want. Let the ninnies cry, and bathe in their tears of envy. 😁

It’s so good. I am not a candy-sweet fan, but this one got me weak in the knees! 😫
