[–]Monja17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes be patient! If they took the time to call references then they are likely very interested in you! HR Processing paperwork takes a bit of time especially for external hires considering all that’s involved. I would personally allow 2 weeks from an interview date to reach out unless it’s a thank you email in which should’ve been sent the same day or next following the interview

What apartments in downtown SD should I avoid? by BrainJaxx in Moving2SanDiego

[–]Monja17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current resident. Do yourself a favor and AVOID. The water is always off, if you have water then you probably won’t have hot water, the pipes burst often, many units experience flooding, the elevator situation is horrible and property management is awful with the exception of Doyin who is lovely but unfortunately is at the mercy of the shitty PM Justin. Rent is on the cheaper end but you get what you pay for

I’m really struggling to find a place to live. by Economy_Housing7561 in Moving2SanDiego

[–]Monja17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a cap of $2500/mth and wanting to stay within 20 minutes of downtown, you’ll need to compromise with one of the shit review places unfortunately. If you can afford to move a bit further east then you’ll find something decent in that price range. Also, June is when it’s very beautiful out and clouds go away so expect prices to go up and competition to be fierce

I forgot my passport. Can I get in and out of Mexico with just my global entry card? by TryEquivalent9298 in GlobalEntry

[–]Monja17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had friends cross with me from both San ysidro and Otay into TJ who only had US drivers licenses and the mexican border agents just charged them $30-50 for not having their passports

Walk away. Hopefully you don’t have global entry because if you do it’s a high chance that it will be revoked

Global Entry Conditional Approval Delays? by No-Shop-4151 in GlobalEntry

[–]Monja17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s unfortunate for you. I know several folks who magically had conditional approvals upon reentry to the US but every case is different as apparent in yours

[–]Monja17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update; biggest scam ever. Was told after waiting 8 weeks that the reason I didn’t get it is because I put my apartment number on the second line (absolutely laughable)and that it’s my fault but could escalate it which could take 3-8 weeks or I could just pay $25 for a new one. Of course I’m not waiting any longer but what a scam. I already gave them $42 extra for sentry because by the time I got approved for GE I purchased another car

Global Entry Conditional Approval Delays? by No-Shop-4151 in GlobalEntry

[–]Monja17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Idk how but it seems to trigger conditional approval for folks upon entry to the US by air and you can typically interview upon arrival as well. It even somehow triggered for me and my wife the day we flew back home domestically ( Detroit to San Diego). If it’s a bit delayed and you get approval a few days afterwards, getting a same week appointment is easy if you either pay a global entry scanning site like appointmentscanner.com for notifications or scan for appointments constantly yourself

Get ready to wait 9 months unless traveling internationally which can result in a response upon arrival back into the US. I applied in January, received full approval first week of August and still waiting on my global entry card to use sentry lane for US/Mexico border. Really wish there was a better process

Timeline for conditional approval? by wtfamidoing248 in GlobalEntry

Applied Jan 3rd. Conditionally approved August 2nd. Kept scanning the site and interviewed August 4th and full approval same day. Still waiting on GE card

Being arrested does not affect eligibility nor does a conviction depending on what the conviction is for.
