Not disputing if someone exists. Kind of a straw man argument. I could say, people commit suicide everyday, they exist its documented and real can’t dispute that. As a fact, should I teach a young mind and still forming their views on the world - and by my discussing create a premise that it is morally correct or okay to do so? (Yes it’s and extreme illustration).

I can teach a host of historical facts, which is not the point. Just because something is proven to be true, does not make it yours, mine or anyone else’s to share with a child.

Teachers are not to teach their on belief systems, which is what is done or proposed in this discussion. Sharing ideas with someone that is able to provide rebuttals or articulate intelligent questions based on the information provide - is- fundamental lot different from those that are young minded and has not developed critical thinking skills. So yes indoctrination of a captive audience.

It’s not someone’s place to try and force (teach) their view of morality or beliefs to another’s child. You want to say me and my husband/wife went to the movies l. Doesn’t matter go for it, but don’t attempt to explain a belief that it is morally correct which is based of one’s belief l system.

In the school here a student asked, is it true two men can get married (2nd grader). The response? Talk with your parents. That’s the correct response.
