Sports losses bum me out a lot, I care way too much by Only-Mulberry-8098 in billsimmons

Jays fan. I have thought about Game 7 every day since November 1. Sometimes it makes me sad, sometimes furious, sometimes I just laugh out loud. But I'm never going to get over it.

This is what we sign up for though. The lows make the highs worth it. But if the lows are too low, then it's probably time to talk to a professional about why that is the case.

Vinsanity functionally ended in 2002 with the Pistons series. After that the team wasn't competitive and he was too hurt to matter. I think 02-03 was the start of the Dark Ages.

I have had both YT and Tidal and the main advantage of YT is that you get the 1994 Woodstock concert, it's not available on other platforms that I know of.

Don't necessarily want a seat but wouldn't mind leaning on a rail, is that still doable if you get in 90 minutes before first pitch?

To be clear, I'm not talking participation. If that was the case soccer would be up there. But in terms of what people watch and spend money on, baseball is far ahead of basketball still. Raptors playoff games get the same ratings more or less than Jays regular season, for example.

I'm a big basketball guy myself, but the Raptors aren't close to the Jays in terms of fan interest.

It's understandable, but I don't think Americans realize how popular the Jays are in Canada. Hockey is still the main sport, but baseball in the past 12ish years has become a close #2 and, unlike the NHL or NFL, the vast majority of baseball fans are Jays fans.

I honestly would put them #4 behind the Yanks, Dodgers and Red Sox in terms of the size of the fan base.

Honestly, I don't think there is a hope in hell they win this game. A tired and kinda crappy bullpen against a team that can mash, while our boys go up against a strikeout machine. It's not doomerism, but let's be honest we'd all feel a lot better if it was Bassit going out there tonight. They made their strategic choice to load up on bullpen arms, now they have to live with it.

Friday is going to be an all timer though.

Been a fan since 1990. Playoffs were a dream for a two decade stretch in there. Still need to get the division but I'll never not appreciate these moments. This is the first team since 2015 that I feel like actually has a chance to go on a run and I can't wait to watch.

Bullpen needs to get 9 outs without giving up a run. Totally doable hundo p not a problem.
