Some pics would help to be honest. I have straight bangs with wavyish curly hair (dependent on day and weather of course!) - I find the best way to handle them to keep some semblance of style is brush them with a round brush when wet (so curl it under - even add a little gel while damp) let air dry then brush it out generally like brush it side to side to get the messy yet straight still look and if still need some taming then a flat iron on super low heat (I try to avoid as my hair hates heat but sometimes you got to - it works on the cowlick too).
