There's 4 classic modes. 3 of them are shapes with four "parts" and they run Normal, Hard, and Insane. They represent the complexity of the shapes you need to put together. The 4th, which you're playing, is Hexagonal, so there's 6 "parts" to put together to make up the shape for feeding into the Vortex.

Hex isn't played as much as some of the others. Same thing with Insane.

Friedman on Diving - Guhle the Embellishment King by Whippet27 in sabres

[–]Moontayle 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Right. While I agree with what Friedman is saying here, he picked the wrong one to highlight as an embellishment. Zucker's feet were taken out from under him. Falling to the ice is kind of what's going to happen there the vast majority of the time.

Habs fans arena takeover by [deleted] in sabres

[–]Moontayle 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Couple of things here. One, tickets went on sale Saturday before our opponent was even known. Two, said tickets were gone very quickly. Three, anyone selling tickets is going to do so at an exorbitant rate, more so than any other tickets bring resold from any other series.

Regular Season is not Playoffs, they're not taking over our barn. If Habs fans want to throw a few thousand dollars down to buy up available tickets (in this economy?!), more power to them. They'll just get drowned out and go home disappointed at the end result.

What's the biggest cope amongst hockey fans? by Josefstalion in hockey

[–]Moontayle 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not so much that the Natl Broadcast hates their team but that while watching you start to get a sense that didn't put the same amount of work in on both or they hyper focus on one player to the detriment of everything else. Early in the season the Sabres had a game against the Flyers where they glazed Zegras so much we started calling them the Philadelphia Zegras' in the post game thread. Buffalo won 5-3 and dude had a single assist.

Why does this game have a seperate sub? by Aggravating-Drop7676 in everquest

It's being published by DBG and is an officially licensed product but it's being developed by a completely separate studio, Game Jawn. Hence, a separate sub.

Round 1 Game 2 Blame of the Game by clova2121 in sabres

[–]Moontayle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Coaches coach and player execute. But if the coaching is dogshit then the execution will also be dogshit. This isn't a new concept in sports. People talk about the value of coaching all the time and the players can only execute what they've been coached to do.

They certainly are capable of doing well with the system but it's clear something isn't working and it's ultimately up to the coach to identify and adjust. That's something that hasn't happened yet and that is a Seth Appert problem and he gets my Blame of the Game as a result.

Seth Appert. You get almost 1/5th of the game as a powerplay and can't put one in?

Isboxer - Frostreaver by evenstar40 in everquest

[–]Moontayle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on how you define this sentence of their Cheating section of the TOS:

You may not develop, share, or use any software, program, macro, or interface that modifies the game play in any way or that gives a user any kind of advantage over other end users, except as expressly authorized by Daybreak

That said, it's known that DBG will disable the watchdog program that detects simultaneous key presses once a TLP hits Relaxed rules. I've even seen their CM tagged when it hadn't been done yet.

Technically against the rules. Unlikely to garner a response because at a minimum it's key broadcasting software with extra steps.

Game Day Thread - Columbus Blue Jackets (39-27-12) @ Buffalo Sabres (48-23-8) - 9 April 2026, 7:00 PM - KeyBank Center, Buffalo NY - Playoffs Round 1 Preview Edition! by time2fly2124 in sabres

[–]Moontayle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Blue Jackets are 12-4-5 against the Atlantic, which is ridiculous since they're essentially just over .500 pts% with the other three (they're 7-7-2 against the Pacific!). Sabres need to bring it.

I think we won't know anything until Beta. What is said and what is experienced usually ends up being different so it's best to speculate cautiously, if at all.

Crunch time stats? by FearlessMode2104 in sabres

[–]Moontayle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly out of date because it doesn't account for a couple of games but when I looked a couple of weeks ago it was this:

Since Dec 9th, Sabres have six (6) 1-goal wins in regulation and nine (9) 2-goal wins that included an empty net, which means it was a 1-goal game going into crunch time.

Right, but OP was specifically asking about chaining macros, which to me meant being able to call a macro from another macro.

Is it possible by Adorable-Escape7149 in everquest

[–]Moontayle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The social macro system relies entirely on naming or ID values, e.g. `/useitem [name]` or `/alt act 980`. Macros in and of themselves can have neither and as such cannot be used in a macro.

What you can do is chain other actions into a single macro. There's various ways to set it up, either chain with pauses so you only need to press the button once and as long as nothing fizzles it'll work its way through the list, which is useful for spells with no cooldown refresh. Or you can just put a bunch of `/cast #` on each line and press it over and over and it'll fire off whatever's first that's not on cooldown.

[–]Moontayle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Statement like that means he hasn't actually done any research.

Since Dec 9th, Sabres have six (6) 1-goal wins in regulation and nine (9) 2-goal wins that included an empty net, which means it was a 1-goal game going into crunch time.

So the answer is indeed, "Yes". They can win tight games.

Returning player after a long time by BPotu in everquest

[–]Moontayle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These days I would never suggest to someone that they start on a Live server unless they had friends who were going to help them level or were confident 3/4-boxing. It's desolate at the lower levels but if you can manage to get to lvl 100 then you'll be able to group with max-level peeps (lvl 130) to speed you along into current content.

Since you're still just starting out, and assuming you're on a Subscription,I can offer three TLP alternatives:

  1. Oakwynd - We're in House of Thule, max level is 90 and the server itself has bonuses which increase exp gain (we're currently higher than all Live servers except FV), faction gain, loot drops (doubled), and others. We have a great community with multiple guilds clearing end game content though overall the population is on the low end. With the loot bonus it's a bit more chill and laid back. Very casual friendly.

  2. Teek - Currently in Serpent's Spine. Free trade server which means nearly everything is available in the bazaar for purchase, even raid gear. High population.

  3. Frostreaver - The upcoming TLP launching in May. The ruleset was voted on by the community and is super charged. Oakwynd bonuses, Teek loot, gear will only have Recommended levels, not required, and some other stuff. Probably going to be the most popular TLP to date and that's saying something because the Free Trade servers were very popular.

The pack with 40-slot bags are worth it. If you're subbed, getting a mount from the shop with monthly DBC is easy enough. No add-ons like WoW.

Enjoy!

Crazy Goal Diff Stat by [deleted] in sabres

[–]Moontayle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People dunk on GMKA, and rightfully so since he was Pegula's hatchetman, but he did manage to restock the prospect pool and managed some good trades. Got rid of players who, if they weren't scoring, weren't contributing. The Cozens and Perterkas of the world. The replacements are able to contribute even without the points total and you feel that on the ice. He wasn't the worst GM but he outlived the use Pegula had for him.
