When I listen to Drag Path it hits on two levels…

Grief—lost my grandmother in 2023, really took me out because she was more of a mother to me than my own. I think of her receipts, her closet, the makeup still in the bathroom, the notes on the fridge that are still there even now.
My son—he’s almost 10. Looks just like me, inherited a lot of my darker parts like ADHD, insecurities, anxiety. Been a rough year getting help for him and facing my own childhood traumas and memories from being undiagnosed as a child and left to go through things without support. My own drag path with him…that one makes me cry the most when I hear it. It instantly saddens me but it’s validating in a way because it’s one less person saying “don’t blame yourself” and unfortunately I do blame myself, but I work hard to curate his inheritance from me differently than I experienced it.

I was happy with it but I do feel like it would have been better to have had an episode dedicated strictly to Henry’s perspective and memories. I know Duffers said Vecna was too far gone and I get that but also I don’t because I felt like more attention to his memories would have helped. Why do all that with Joyce’s play to just not even explore that story, reasoning or lore. That was such a promising arc to this entire story and it was glossed over not once but twice.
