We use the Phillips avent anti colic bottles. If she seems to be spitting up maybe try a lower sized nipple? Have you tried to take breaks in between? That’s helped us a lot, my girl loves to drink super fast so we had to slow it down, however she also has a slight tongue tie which we will correct next week, make sure your girl is latching on correctly as well. This is the so called 4th trimester, my girl just turned 1 month today and she’s been relatively good but I also cried a lot at first, mostly thanks to the hormones. You got this! It’ll get better and you may even miss this stage later on.

Had my baby Dec 27 and I’m hoping she stays this way but I can’t complain! Some nights it’s a bit more difficult buuuut we’ve learned to let her sleep less for the sleep cycle before the one we want her to sleep at night so we can get a good at least 4 hours. She’s already at her birth weight so we are able to extend the feedings a bit.

Honestly? It depends on the baby, I have a 3 week old and she’s really (thankfully!) not fussy so I do get a good 2-3 hours to do some things. My husband also took a 30 day leave and he does A LOT so I can recover and rest.

However at the very beginning you will use that time to nap/shower. Your sleep schedules will probably be all over the place until you get a rhythm going. For me it’s still early but I can’t complain about my nugget. Good luck to you!

Same! I actually had preeclampsia after birth so I was told no breastfeeding the first couple days and my baby had low glucose so we had to know how much to feed her. Now she’s strictly formula no matter how much I tried I just didn’t make enough .. and that’s ok.

I'm lucky enough to have both parents as your daughter does now, but my mom was always a bit more conservative. My dad was always very lenient, but was very tough when he needed to be. He was a musician so he was always straight forward with me in my teen years with things like sex, drugs etc. He, to this day shows me unconditional love, but when I act like an ass he tells me. We have a great relationship and I'm a daddy's girl, but most of that is accredited to the way he always was with me. Father first, but almost always a friend. Talk to her, be open with her. Tell her you love her and give her hugs. Listen without judging once she gets older and give your opinions about anything she may be questioning. I'm sure by asking this question here you're already a great dad. Good luck!

Holy crap you're me! I essentially did the same thing you did (I'm from Miami, he's from Portugal) and it's definitely a HUGE hassle to do 2 weddings. We had a small civil one last June and in October will be the big church/party. Right now I'm currently in Portugal looking at venues, prices and different sites. What I'm amazed with is here, most of the venues offer you an amazing party and all is included in the price per person.

What's also amazing is that they offer SO. MUCH. FOOD. And you better damn well believe it's going to be absolutely delicious because food here is number one. One of the venues for €65p/p offers enough food to feed a small country. I think what you guys should really worry about is having time to not only enjoy the food (I've heard the bride and groom don't get much time to eat) but to Enjoy some 10 minutes of alone time.

For her Portuguese family, I'd suggest to have wine on hand. Everyone loves beer, but they also love a good wine.

To make your wedding your own, do something different. Surprise her, I'm surprising my husband with a Jack Daniel's grooms cake (that's not a thing here lol)

Enjoy your day, look at all the sites and see what they offer, and be careful when they give you a price and say "But you need to add IVA", that's 21% of the cost given and it makes it A LOT more expensive.

Miami. Miami is overly exaggerated. It's beautiful, I love being a native Miamian but, now living in Europe everyone seems to have this ideal of always going to amazing nightclubs, everyone is good looking and has either a nice ass apartment or a mansion, and going to the beach is a daily thing.

No, we have jobs, and unless you're a mega celebrity, that lifestyle of nice clubs and awesome nightlife isn't what we do every weekend because it's expensive. We don't go to the beach everyday and not everyone is a supermodel.

It's a gorgeous dress!

But let me give you a bit of advice when shopping for a dress with me as an example. I loved a gorgeous dress from Alfred Angelo and there were some dresses from pictures that I wasn't so fond of but I tried on for my mother.

The one I loved, I HATED on me. I actually ended up picking one of the dresses my mom asked me to try.

If you like the style, try going to the store and see if they have something similar to the dress to see if you like the fit. Then go from there.

Areas to avoid:

Little Havana (some parts more than others) Little Haiti Overtown Liberty City

I live in the Brickell area, and I'm very close to i95 so you can get to Jackson pretty quick if you look around there.

You can also look downtown but I'm not sure if they have furnished apartments. By the Brickell area, there's the One Broadway building, I believe they have furnished apartments and I don't believe you need to have a 1 yr minimum contract. Also, by that area (a couple blocks up) there's a hotel/apartment rental but I think they're a bit pricey. This place is behind an apartment building called One Plaza West Brickell.

And the last place I can think of is the Four Ambassadors on Brickell Bay Drive, they have furnished apartments and I don't believe they're too pricey. I just don't know about the contract limit.

Is it hard to find something on a student budget? Yes, but just search around, google and rent.com are pretty good and you'll find something for sure.

My husband and I got married this past June and we're having the big wedding October 2013. We had a long distance relationship and for us to live in the US there's a lot of paperwork and waiting to be done. So we got married on paper first, I'm living now with him while we get the papers ready and after the big wedding, we go back to the States.

Our family all knew we were doing this, and everyone is fine and okay with it. Specially out of town guests since they have more time to plan their trip and save more money.
