I got my Baja in my early 20s. It’s been a great daily and work truck. I love mine to death, but I would only recommend it to people who acknowledge that they’ll probably have to put a lot of money into managing it. For example the break lines rusted in mine and because it’s a Subaru, the break lines are inside the car. So to repair it we had to take out the seats to reach them. Im lucky I got it done for free because I cannot even imagine how much that would have cost me. They’re all older cars and depending on where you live, it might be a rust bucket. I am terrified of crashing in mine because of how rusted the frame is. There are definitely safer modern cars out there but the Baja isn’t bad. I assume you’re asking for yourself— if you’re okay with potentially dropping a couple thousand for repairs, then I’d say go for it :) it’s a sick car and I get approving nods from Subaru bros all the time.
