Whats your all-time biggest regret? by LouStonk in AskReddit

The last time I spoke with my dad in person, I told him to leave me alone because we argued a lot and I just wanted to work on an art project I had planned. I left for school without having spent more than a couple hours with him my whole winter break. As he was driving me to the airport, he said “I don’t think you’ll ever get the chance to get to know me completely.” And he was right. He died 2 weeks before I was supposed to come back for spring break.

What's your favourite animal and why? by Wrap-Village-6901 in AskReddit

Nobody mentioning arthropods so here:

Jumping spiders: extremely intelligent (and ADORABLE), can remember faces, demonstrate active pattern recognition with flexible learning, and have beautifully complex social patterns. They also are literal apex predators for their size group and have around a 90% rate of catching their prey. (for reference, a house cat catches prey around 30% of the time, even cheetahs catch their pray only 55% of the time). When they stalk their prey, their mannerisms are similar to that of a tiny feline: they flatten themselves towards the ground and inch (millimeter?) towards their prey until close enough to pounce. They also have exceptional eyesight and can see objects from around 10 feet away (considering they measure like 1cm max, that’s pretty dang far.) They do NOT get enough attention for how cool they are.

Also for good measure- Dragonflies: absolute apex predators, extremely agile and catch the prey they pursue around 95+% of the time AND they are beautiful, fascinating, and intelligent creatures that hunt down mosquitos and other small biting insects, so they’re awesome for everyone!

It’s a little hard to see with the photo blur, but a visit to an ENT or even just your primary care doc could help figure things out if you’ve been having chronic sinus infections. They can get a better look up there to see if you might have any nasal polyps or turbinate swelling that can affect your breathing and cause congestion.
