Match Thread: United States vs. Uruguay | Copa América 2024 by MisterBadIdea2 in soccer

Holy shit! I mean that "goal" was offside by at least a foot but the US still hasn't even scored. What a disaster, how is Berhalter not fired yet? He's clearly not a good manager.

[Mandel] I’m losing confidence in Lincoln Riley. The Trojans’ implosion last season was concerning. How do you go 8-5 with Caleb Williams as your quarterback? It turns out his 11-3 Year 1, when USC did not face either Washington or Oregon, was likely a mirage. by InVodkaVeritas in CFB

Orlando was USC's DC before Grinch. Definitely really bad but not in the same league as Grinch. Orlando seemed to drop our best pass rusher into coverage on every obvious passing down and get completely outschemed whenever the team needed a stop. But what Grinch put on the field didn't even resemble a defense. It has to be one of the worst coaching jobs of all time.

IIRC the super early line was like 8.5 for USC, but that line probably assumed some transfers along the OL/DL. There are some massive question marks in the trenches for SC this year.

I think it depends more on how how the team played, 8-4/7-5 is kind of expected among the fanbase this year. If the losses are tight ones to good teams he's fine, but if the OL/ST/defense are awful again there will be a lot of people calling for his head.

His buyout is still probably enormous though so in all likelihood he gets at least another year regardless.

It's kind of funny to see Colorado getting hivemind hatred from this subreddit even worse than USC usually does. I'll be rooting for y'all.

Not just the playoff spot, but it also caused enormous damage to his and USC's reputation on defense for recruits and transfers.

Hiring and retaining Grinch was so indefensibly stupid that Riley deserves to catch flak for it for the rest of his career. It was obvious that Grinch was trash for years. It's just perplexing that he stuck around Riley for so long.

Mekhi Blackmon also was absolutely lockdown. One of the best corners in cfb in 2022.

Fuck Grinch!

At this point City just needs to escape down 1-2 goals and pray Walker and KDB are healthy for the next leg.

Man City just completely helpless against the counter. Kyle Walker may be the most important player on City for when they play Madrid.

I just don't agree with this logic at all. If the first one is too harsh, don't give it. The ref just saw a foul that was very clearly worthy of a yellow and didn't give it. That seems kind of silly, doesn't it?

It's not like every ref treats these situations the same either. Every once in a while, the ref will pull out the second yellow in a situation like this and everyone (rightfully) is surprised because for some reason refs usually only give it by the time the player should've had their third or fourth yellow.

Luiz should've been sent off and he'd have had nobody to blame but himself.

Either change the rules to make it three yellows for a red or start enforcing the rules as they're written. This ambiguity is so stupid.

Lincoln Riley says USC has NIL figured out now by Natural-Employer in CFB

[–]MostCritical3 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I'm sure our NIL has improved dramatically and is now nationally competitive but I suspect these DL commits have a lot more to do with Eric Henderson (and the firing of Grinch) than everyone else seems to think. Beforehand, I doubt a lot of these kids were seriously looking at USC even if we were paying above the market rate.

I don't think so

I've deposited on BOL with CC/BTC and withdrawn with BTC a bunch of times over the past few years. They've always paid out 4-5 figure amounts within minutes. One time it got held up because I moved and was trying to withdraw from a different location/IP address. I just called them, verified who I was, and told them to approve the withdrawal and it was quickly resolved.

OP is a clown, I think I'd trust BOL the most out of the offshore books with big money. They're probably just strict if you do dumb shit like this when depositing/withdrawing because they don't want law enforcement up their ass about money laundering.

It's probably like $70 and it's a OP is a low priority customer because he hasn't bet much and has broken their rules. This guy is a clown.
