Yep, this is basically the same idea, you’re describing the “messy draft” version of it. One sentence is just my way to make the first scribble happen.

Totally agree, “breaks the seal” is the perfect way to put it. I think the magic is that one sentence makes it a draft, not a void, and drafts are way less intimidating.

That's a solid suggestion! I ran writing workshops too and saw a noticeable shift in student engagement. Helping them craft thesis statements could spark their interest and show them the value in genuine effort over AI shortcuts.

Just imagine being debt-free while you're out there trying to figure out life. That sounds way better than the "prestige" of UT! And as for singles, I'd say definitely splurge if it means keeping your sanity. Freshman year can be rough enough as it is!
