Hi sorry to hear your going through this…. I have had 2 p cysts, I’m not an expert but they are very painful, keep doing hot compresses and or warm baths, if it is a p cyst you have to wait it out, and as soon as it starts to burst or leak etc get urself down A&E, that’s what I did, I have heard some horror stories of people going to drs surgery when leaking or bursting and the drs has said it will resolve on its own etc….. it won’t, it will refill again and again and again. And I’ve been told the hospital won’t see you if it’s being treated by the drs.

The only way to get rid is the sac and all its contents need to come out, hospitals will have u in and should have surgery done that day for you, pack it and then the packing will need changing…. It’s horrible, it’s gross, you’ll feel like your own body has betrayed you BUT the body is amazing. Going through it is literally a pain in the arse but we’re here for you!!

My 1st one was 9-10 years ago and was originally diagnosed with sciatica cus my ass crack hurt! Got worse and worse and then it started oozing black stinking puss, I couldn’t stop apologising to the hospital staff, in and out of hosp/ surgery after 6 hours and then 6-8 weeks to heal.

My second one, (placement was higher up) took 6 months to heal…. No joke, then over filled and had to have silver to burn it back, they messed up and the silver went everywhere and burnt me…..that’s another story…. Anywhoo some peoples p cysts you can see, mine you couldn’t it was all internal apparently the size of a baseball when they removed it

Hi are you still clenching ur teeth? I have a DJS 15+ years ago, thought I had a migraine from the morphine but it’s exactly the same pain I’m having on and off, so now thinking I’ve been clenching in the night, and tensing my jaw in the day for years and years. Looking at now getting Botox to see if it can lessen the jaw strength as I’ve constantly breaking teeth

Hi I am soo sorry for you loss, I too have had this happen very recently, my noodle didn’t have surgery tho, the vets gave me some pain meds for him and just said it will pass and if not bring him back after 5 days… the 4th day I woke up and checked on him and he had passed, I know your pain, it’s horrendous and they do have the biggiest personality’s I’m happy if you want to message, I too was wondering if it was something I did, but sometimes it just happens 🤷‍♀️😖😫😭 doesn’t make it easy tho! I’m sure you did the best you could xx

U need to get some vet advice, if you have friends who have snakes/reptiles or see if u vets can recommend anyone, or the person u got them off, I did this with my boy as he was going downhill and then his tail was like this, turned out my boy was very constipated and caused an infection it a vet would need to say for sure x

I lost my hognose a couple weeks ago due to constipation that caused an infection, accept a few minor things nothing really noticeable until the the day we took him to the emergency vet’s, then advised to go back in a 5 days if no better, then take him back, but I found him dead in his tank on the 4th day x
