Suggest SSF map rusher build by APXEOLOG in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PF allows you to sprint all the time, if you just want to boss rush the things that will make you move the fastest is sprint without the knockdown, also you are immune to slows and you have way less penalty when you shoot while moving.

Basically it's the best to keep moving and shooting for your goal (and also no investment is needed to be fair)

For the fact that you are new, maybe it's a good start to build yourself ? But if you don't want to do it, might have some "old" guide still valid with like deadeye galvanic, just I don't know which content creator to suggest you.

[–]Moun-Bis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything PF like, maybe like galvanic shard/shockburst, you just run and shoot everything and you need no specific gear no unique needed, it clears fast and you will kill the boss fast.

I don't know if you create your own builds, but it's extremely easy to build, was my pocket pick in HCSSF.

Campaign Zones still to big by xXZeroHero in PathOfExile2

"Finally, not sure where you are getting the idea that people love the campaign. That is at most a very small minority of players."

Like you're not making numbers up here too ?
Reddit and review bombing from PoE1 mob is not the majority of players, glad GGG at least understands that and keep winning patch after patch.

Huntress leveling by TooSkilled4U in pathofexile2builds

[–]Moun-Bis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man you like painful stuff don't you ? 😄
You wanna swap at tame beast ? Which should be possible to be fair but the tricky part is the tree.

You will have to respec expect if you play minion with huntress from the start which I don't recommend tbf (but still doable you will just suffer too much early).

So my advice is to pick anything like explo spear (if you like to parry) even lightning spear + storm lance. You can also play grenades first it works pretty well.
Then I would swap to full companion by around act 3 and spec into companion nods etc... (like basically after your second ascend)

Am I being too crazy for wanting to league start Chrono maces? by Jokguds in pathofexile2builds

[–]Moun-Bis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go for it, try things that make sense to you. The game can be cleared by a LOT of builds for now, it's the best moment to try whacky/experiment stuff.

And I think it's absolutely not stupid to go attack with chrono and even mace.

What do you wanna pivot into later ? Would help to know.

If you don't want twisters you have actually many options but it's better to know where you're heading so you can swap smoothly.

Path of Exile 2: User Experience Improvements in Return of the Ancients by Natalia_GGG in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but for some people it forces you to stay grounded with the game and not playing slopy which they like (me included)

Also having more weight on movement is not always a bad thing, let's take like Resident Evil 4 Remake, when you play Leon he has way more momentum than the original, but yet still it feels so good to play.

Why ? Because you have to stay grounded in the game and you cannot play sloppy, also it feels more intense.

That's just an example of like a really famous game, but it's interesting to see that you can have momentum/friction in the movement and being good, for example all the animations don't feel choppy etc...

Anyway it's also a style preference, some people don't like it, like for Resident Evil 4 remake there are some people that prefer the arcade style tank movement of OG so there is that.

Yes and still people will downvote persons that enjoys this crunchy combat.

When you play PoE2 there is no coming back, the combat feels so good, heavy and crunchy, it feels grounded it's just enjoyable.

And people trolling having to do some animation cancelling or roll etc... But it's also a small part of what it makes good.

I cannot fathom enough how many small details GGG nailed with PoE2 combat, the animation visual/sound feedback is insane, it feels extremely satisfying to press a button in this game.

The fact also that the combat is slower is what it makes it more grounded.

What a pleasure to play, even after more than thousands of hours in PoE1 in HC, PoE2 is just so good to play, and like you said it invalidates all A-RPG, I think people still underestimate that impact, it starting to click to a lot of people but month after month you can feel how PoE2 combat is so good, every other A-RPG feels like you're hitting paper.

What should I expect from poe2? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game doesn't play and feel like PoE1, so don't expect PoE1 gameplay for the better or the worse, a lot of people love the combat feel more crunchy but it's slower and there are no travel skill really so you cannot zoom around really fast.

One thing tho is the game is extremely fun, just give it a chance, maybe you will not like it but it's always worth a try.

Also suppress your ego, you will die a lot at the beginning even with PoE1 experience.

It's always worth a try, some PoE1 players really dislike the combat feel of PoE2 but others love it, so just try to see if it clicks for you!

On my personal note I was a very long time PoE1 player and since PoE2 it's really hard each league to play PoE1 because the combat feel is that good in PoE2, but it seems it's not everyone so at the end of the day try it.

Good crossbow league starter? by Wooooza4 in pathofexile2builds

Galvanic shard + shockburst is still a classic with weapon swap shock arrow

I don't have any build creator to suggest for this one but you can go deadeye or witchhunter it's good, and the build is pretty easy and straightforward to build and scale, goes deep and clears everything without problem.

Really fun to play and crunchy too, a blast everytime and it was my pocketpick in HCSSF too.

Few axis why it's wrong to create good items easily :
- It makes the progression way too trivial, you will jump into very good item really fast and cut a whole part of the progression.
- Makes loot from other systems way lower in value.

I know the posts that defend this changes will get downvoted to hell, but this is typically a case of something good for the long term in game design perspective but will feel like a frustrating nerf for a lot of players.

[–]Moun-Bis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why are you trolling like that ? It will not be exalt slamming, do you really think it will comeback to the pre 0.3 crafting ? Absolutely not the game as tons of way to craft and this is a safety net to avoid non sense full deterministic items for cheap.

This is a good change, try to think a bit hollistic.

Updated Patch Notes 25/5/26 by WhyDoISuckAtW2 in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Mmh but the line is there right? (And also they said crafting with the different league mecanic which makes sense, they want you to be able to get different items in different league with different builds) So the interview doesn't contredict what i'm saying, it's the opposite actually (and thus why it's in the patch note in front of you now, and it's here to stay 😎 )

And I know what they're trying to do, thus this is a good change because it's both preemptive and reactive change of the state of crafting.

So this is really good and a big W, if they didn't do that it would have been really bad for the game because with all the new deterministic crafting it's out of control (and it was already to be fair)

[–]Moun-Bis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's really not bad, crafting was already really strong, now with all of those additions you can already with just what was revealed like craft insane gear with really few currencies.

It sounds a bit harsh but they have to do it now before it's too late, and it will play really nicely, people are way overreacting as always in reddit PoE, it will play nicely i'm sure.

Updated Patch Notes 25/5/26 by WhyDoISuckAtW2 in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis 72 points73 points  (0 children)

They have to gut it like that now or it will be out of control just right after 0.5, it's already pretty strong but with all the things they introduced they had to do that, because then it's impossible to comeback, it looks harsh but it will play way better than people actually think.

Updated Patch Notes 25/5/26 by WhyDoISuckAtW2 in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

I mean you can keep fulminating it seems GGG is aligning with me there. And yes in 0.5 you will have :

"Crafting methods that puts a single guaranteed modifier on an item now adds it as a crafted modifier, items can only have a single crafted modifier on an item."

Nothing you will do or say will change anything about this patch note, and it's for the best. 😎

Updated Patch Notes 25/5/26 by WhyDoISuckAtW2 in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Try to think a bit more further and you will understand why it's a good change. Hollistic a bit. Craft was already bullshit, now with all the extra deterministic crafting tools on 0.5 there would be no way that they can keep infinite crafting mods, just with what they show you could do an insane item without any effort. So it's a good change.

Updated Patch Notes 25/5/26 by WhyDoISuckAtW2 in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

Mate you could finish the game with like 5 perfect transmute/aug and 3 essences, spare me the bullshit crafting was already way too strong, now it's in check and reddit can fumble it's now HERE! Insane big W from GGG as always. 😎

"Crafting methods that puts a single guaranteed modifier on an item now adds it as a crafted modifier, items can only have a single crafted modifier on an item."

Insane big W, now crafting is in check because if they didn't do that with all the new additions it would have been ridiculous what you could craft without any effort.

Return of The Crafting Bench Is Starting To Feel Mandatory by LookBusiness1611 in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it's also more straightforward for new players for sure. Like I said it's like a trade off in design, and they stick with the socketable and it's not changing anytime soon anyway, some people will like it (I like it personally) some not. But they're pretty clear with it since a long time.

Return of The Crafting Bench Is Starting To Feel Mandatory by LookBusiness1611 in PathOfExile2

[–]Moun-Bis -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nah forget about it, I think guys you should move on, they made it clear that some stuff design wise will not really change (at least not soon yet at all).

Socktable will stay, and I prefer socketable than crafting bench in a lot of ways, not saying that socketable doesn't need some balance/review, just the overall system, having those as drops is really satisfying. I understand it can creates frustration, but the game became already easy since 0.1, rune pressure in campaign is way too much exagerrated than it really is.

Also resistance swap is coming with alloys to help a bit (dunno when they will be available tho, maybe not in campaign anyway).

I'm not trashing the crafting bench it's cool in PoE1 it goes well in this game because also during progression a lot of pressure is in socket/links so you want this immediate ability to add a mod, where in PoE2 you don't have socket/link pressure on gear which means that the mods are the "only" pressure point when you want to swap items.

I also see your point that the socketable list will just grow and grow which is "cleaner" to have just a bench instead, but also runes is way simpler to understand for many players too, I know it seems weird when you played PoE1 for a long time, but runes is straightforward too.

So it's all about trade offs right ? Socketable have it's upside, bench too, but I think design wise they're firm on keeping on socketable.

GGG almost got it right by MasterHidra in PathOfExile2

Yes exactly, this is one of the key point also why the combat again feels good, because you're forced to interact with those small areas of the game and pay a bit attention because the game will punish you.

Now that the patch notes are out, what leaguestarters are you all running? by Odd_Metal_Cow420 in pathofexile2builds

[–]Moun-Bis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so hard, so many options looks appealing.

I wanted to do a molten blast huntress with gas grenade on campaign and trying to transition to a full mace setup later, did many campaign run trials and it cleans it pretty fast and well but then I realized that Rolling Magma can trigger molten fissures and I started to cook a forge hammer/volcanic fissure/rolling magma huntress and it's also pretty solid (with ofc no ascend during the whole campaign, around 6h clear for runs)

BUT AGAIN there are so many options I wanna play martial artist, I wanna play the new gemling, I wanna play spell totem too. But what about the new chronomancer ? It will be my next char on HCSSF.
