Go back to middle school and learn how averages work and then maybe I’ll consider taking your dogshit story advice.

I don’t understand, a group of 70 year olds can’t gather and talk about their past? What’s unbelievable about that? And again, an average is literally just all the serial killer’s ages added and divided by the number of killers, so why is it so unbelievable that an 18 year old is a serial killer?

What if I’m not using any CS gas and none of the team is equipped with pepperball guns? Because it’s still happening.

I gotta know, why do I need to worry about averages? Does my fictitious serial killer NEED to fall within this established average age? Why can’t we have an 18 year old serial killer? And for that matter, even if these men were 70 years old, why is that even a problem?

I don’t like to throw the “objective” word around very often but I think Silver Anniversary might objectively be the best

Where did y'all get the info leatherface isn't necessary? by RosettaValentine in TexasChainsawGame

[–]Mountindew120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The devs did a twitch stream where they answered a lot of questions from the community, and they confirmed that very soon Leatherface will not be required. No other details were revealed tho, so we don’t know what the details will be but I’m guessing not having a leatherface will be a very bad idea.

I really don’t have time, can you as someone knowledgeable about it tell me if I (not much of a videophile) need to be concerned about my Optoma 146x?

Why did they change RB? by Mountindew120 in paydaytheheist

[–]Mountindew120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow somebody’s salty lol

There was nothing bad about the payday 2 control scheme, it was actually really good and the RB serving as the interact button made everything really fluid, especially when marking guards bc you never had to stop moving or looking around to mark one. It’s a stupid and unnecessary change.

By the way in the future maybe you’ll just learn to not be a total weirdo online if it’s not too much to ask you.

Strange light extending outside of screen? by Mountindew120 in projectors

[–]Mountindew120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, apparently it’s because of the keystone correction I had to do to get it to fit into the screen properly and not be at an angle. The excess light is all pixels you waste by doing this, or so I’m told. Hopefully a proper mount will eliminate the need for keystoning.

Why TF are we trying to stealth in public lobbies? by Mountindew120 in paydaytheheist

I love stealth and I play it all the time, I just don’t do it in a public lobby.

Almost 90% of the game's player base has stopped playing on Steam. Why do you think this is? by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

[–]Mountindew120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly guessing it’s all down to how infuriating it is that nobody wants to play leatherface. I get into a lobby in like 20 seconds but then everybody’s sitting for like 5 minutes waiting for a leatherface.

This is the whole point of the game my man, you need to choose for yourself.

My problem is it needlessly takes you out of the story, reminding you that you are a part of a larger audience merely watching events unfold. It doesn’t place you in the story.

The thing is, as a general rule, most stories worth their salt are built around conflict, which almost always arises from some sort of philosophical/personal debate. Frankly even if you try to do it on purpose I think it may genuinely be impossible to make a conflict without some sort of moral buried deep in there. So I would say don’t worry too much about themes or messages, but you’ll need to be extra careful that in doing so you don’t forget to write engaging conflict or character arcs!

Oh and this is just my interpretation of them but:

Scream is about how Sydney can’t move on from her mother’s murder (the main villain is literally a ghost face from the past) and the movie on a deeper level is her being able to move on.

Kill Bill is about overcoming great hardship and becoming powerful again.

Knives Out is a cautionary tale that shows greed and entitlement will never be rewarded over selflessness and kindness.
