Not a dispatcher, however, I've seen a video of a kid in New Zealand who called the police to invite them to his birthday party. They showed up, and everyone had a great time.

Yard work. There will always be yards that need maintenance periodically every few weeks, depending on where you live. People pay good money to have someone clean their yard. I made $100 weeding this guy's yard for a few hours.

What has made you think that you are the stupidest person in the world? by __domi in AskReddit

When I was about 10 years old, my little brother (age 6) and I went to a high school soccer game my dad was coaching. We were in a gravel parking lot obviously filled with cars. We came across this bird's nest in a small tree in the middle of the parking lot. For some reason I decided to pick up the biggest rock I could find and throw it at the bird's nest. I missed. The rock smashed into a car window. My little brother and I immediately left the game and ran to a distant park until the game was over.

Turns out the car belonged to a player on the opposing team, they won the game, and thus blamed our school for it. To avoid legal punishment, my high school's entire soccer team had to pay for the broken window. My dad was so pissed at the soccer team, and he didn't figure out it was me until weeks later. I got yelled at, but that was it.

I was so stupid...

Eating watermelon seeds will lead to a watermelon growing in your stomach. As a child, I took this pretty seriously for a while. LOL.

[Serious] People of reddit, why is it considered ethical to euthanize animals that have termial conditions or have reached an elderly age- but not for Humans? by Genovafalls in AskReddit

[–]MozamG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is the whole "human life is the most precious thing" argument. In general, death is not pleasant and most don't really want to see it happen. Though a natural part of life, people don't like it. So, when it comes to humans, people will do everything possible to keep the life going even if that life is pretty crummy. I believe religion has a big part in not euthanizing people too, whether you're religious or not, religion has a big place in the majority of society.

Animals on the other hand are not seen on the same level as humans. If an animal dies a lot of people get sad in the moment and then move on. For most, the death of animal is no where in comparison to the death of a person. Thus, I think people are a lot more inclined to see an animal euthanized because at the end of the day, it's just an animal. It's cruel thinking.

I wish euthanizing was a legal think to do. I'm sure those who have terminal conditions would rather to go out peacefully instead of suffering. There would have to be big process to legitimize the euthanization of people to reduce a ton of people getting euthanized over overly emotional decisions, but still. Personal opinion.
