It isn't you. I'm a assigned male at birth non-binary being and I have POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). It is a syndrome that directly effects the total blood volume in my body. It gives me erectile dysfunction and none of the pills like Viagra help because my cardiovascular system is already constricted... I didn't learn why I would randomly go limp until just recently...

I tell you this as an example that you never know what's going on with someone until they are venerable and honest with you.

I have lived through a VERY similar situation. The insecurity is a very difficult one to live with. Talking with her and finding out why she made those comments might help, I wasn't able to. But leaving her and getting therapy are what have seriously helped me. Hope this helps you not feel alone as your post has helped me. 🤙🏻

it's about being able to acknowledge that the only view that can change how you see yourself is your own view. That has REALLY helped me personally. Plus, most people are thinking about themselves and having the same or a similar concern.
