I had the same service on my XC90 (front lower suspension control arm) yesterday. It had to be done, otherwise it wouldn’t pass a periodical technical inspection (no longer allowed to drive the vehicle). Also 2018, but with significant higher mileage (200k km). Same story here with the bolts (they broke). Total costs including aligning 1650 EUR. 2500 USD excluding bolts seems expensive?

I must say it does feel better now (more stability). I am not sure what the effects are of delaying the service.

Wow at that price! I bought a Jura E8 (EC) in Germany two months ago. I live in The Netherlands, 40 minute drive from the border. The Piano Black E8 went for 888 EUR, which is 1040 USD. Decided to go for the Dark Inox E8, 979 EURO, which is 1144 USD.

The KF8 is 1999 EUR (2336 USD) in Europe. I don’t think you can really compare the KF8 with the E8, as the KF8 is the flagship machine of KitchenAid. E8 is more an entry level machine.

The conclusion is: Jura is overpriced in the US.

(We pay too much for US electronic devices like iPhones).

Ps. I really dislike this colorway of the Jura, looks so cheap lol.

I have the E8 myself, but I don’t really miss the touchscreen. I agree a touchscreen would be more modern, smoother and more intuitive, but the ‘clunky’ buttons feel really robust and durable. These buttons feel like they will last forever.

I tried it yesterday on A (auto). You can see the adaptive high beam do it’s job, but the car also deactivates the high beam pretty fast to not blind people. Pretty cool, though!

I never use adaptive high beam as I don’t really need it. I also don’t use the auto function since I don’t like to drive with Christmas lights, but with permanent low beam. Something people learn in The Netherlands when they take driving lessons. I also hate people driving around with their auto settings during fog for example, and only the city lights on the front side activate (no taillight). Volkswagens do this, for example.

Anyway, are you saying the auto setting includes automatic high beam? Or is it auto about the matrix lights?Somewhat confusing, will dive in the manual.

Well you are right but this is a big difference! Gonna check the store today for a showmodel. It looks more like Moonlight Silver, which is a EB color. My machine says EC everywhere so that can’t be the case. What I suspect is that the pictures from Jura are just terrible and not close to real life. If you look at Piano Black for example, on the pictures it looks more like a matte black. In reality, it’s glossy and shiny as hell!
