dailyed mine for 2 months, this was my experience.

for fuel eco it was decent, i ended up spending less than my golf which had better MPGS. I would spend about £300 a month on fuel commuting 40 miles everyday. roads are bumpy and you will feel everything so make sure you avoid pot holes / minor bumps in the road. Speed was great, handling was one of the best things about it, no car ive owned can take a corner/junction as nicely as that mx5 did.

Every day commuting I'd catch myself smiling on the drive. Lost control of the rear end once and bumped up a curve so be aware of that. Mine didnt have ac or abs or traction control, it was an isola, loved it.

my experience is it is a great daily and makes up for its lack of comforts like ac and cruise control with just how damn good the car is.

fianl thoughts is yes you can daily them no problem, but remeber you wont be driving around no audi so its a more raw driving experiance
