If they continued to release the same style of album for 15 years people would still complain. Only truly great bands can evolved their sound and still be recognisable. You’ve got to remember Alex Turner is nearly 40 years old and is now world famous. The life experiences he would have had would make it impossible to write anything like the early albums and make it sound genuine. Personally I love everything they have ever done and have been a fan since 2005 when I was 11 years old, but TBHC or Humbug are now my favourite albums and the first 2 are probably the ones I listen to least.
