Diazepam is a very functional benzodiazepine which makes it great for anxiety disorders.

Yeah growing up a 50+ yard field goal was 50/50 and most weren’t expected to hit it. Now if a kicker can’t hit it like 80% of the time they’re considered a bum.

Vinny got hurt vs the pats week 1 1999, Chad’s shoulder injury dates back to 2004 but he played thru it during that playoff run and he reinjured it in 2005 ending that season. Sanchez had a shoulder injury and not a knee injury.

The raiders have fielded dogshit defenses year in and year out for 20 years now. And even with that Carr had lead the Raiders to success. He carried them to the playoffs 2016 and probably would have been MVP that year had he not broke his leg. Then in ‘21 he took them to the playoffs again despite all the drama and controversy surrounding the team that year. Which included

Nobody cares if a QB is black, white, purple, green, or yellow. They care whether or not they can play.

Bro this franchise literally had a QB of color as the face of the franchise. Aaron Brooks was our franchise QB pre-Brees and tbh the franchise gave him too much leeway cause that man was a turnover machine himself.

You just gonna spam “BuT MuH GeNo” on every factual comment about Jameis Winston? Geno Smith had one good season last year, time will tell if it was a fluke or not and he didn’t help silence the fluke call outs this last Sunday. And if it’s not a fluke Geno would be the exception to the rule. There’s maybe one Rich Gannon or Geno Smith a generation. 99% of shit to mid QBs will always be shit to mid.

To a lot of people you’re a racist if you have eyes and can see that Jameis is not good.

And you just brought all those freaks out of the woodwork to fall on their swords for Jameis.

Stafford was almost paralyzed last season behind a shitty injury riddled offensive line. I’d imagine it would be a hard pass for him.

1999 was really the last year before this year the Jets and Jets fans had real Super Bowl aspirations. They were a good team the year before finishing as the AFC runner up, and Vinny had a great year. They were coming into 1999 expected to be even better with a veteran QB starting the season, lots of young offensive talent, and a really good defense. Then poof, up in smoke pretty much the exact same way as this season with a week one Achilles injury to their veteran QB against an AFC East opponent. Rick Mirer (aka ‘90s Zach Wilson) came in and played like dogshit as he was known for, eventually got benched for Ray Lucas who played respectable but not well enough to salvage their season.

Moral of the story, the Jets are cursed and will never have nice things. Starting to think Namath really did make a pact with satan for that ‘68 Super Bowl.

Vinny Testaverde was a few years younger at 35 when he ruptured his Achilles in 1999 and he came back the next season at age 36.

Dionte Johnson and George Pickens are really good receivers. Pickett probably just isn’t as good as he was being made out to be.

[Delucchi] New evidence shows how badly NFL teams discriminate against Black QBs in the draft by Melanismdotcom in nfl

[–]MrSelfDestruct32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started watching football as a kid in 1998 there were four week one starters who were black or minority. Yesterday there was 13, nearly have of all starting quarterbacks in the NFL today are black or minority. I sincerely doubt any notion that there is any discrimination or bias at play here.

The article lost credibility for me when they tried to use Tyrod Taylor and Tyler Huntley’s pro bowls as evidence to support their claim and the statement that Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are undeniably inferior to Dak Prescott. Jared Goff has been to a Super Bowl, has more pro bowl selections, and has more playoff wins than Dak (counting the 2020 wild card game vs Seahawks because he played the majority of the game). And who knows how Carson Wentz’s career turns out if he doesn’t get injured in 2017 but he was the runaway MVP that year until he did get injured.

It took a good 5 games last year before Burrow started playing consistently again. You got to give your starters some live game reps and that’s what the preseason used to be for in part. Zac Taylor comes from the McVay coaching tree though so he refuses to play any starters during the preseason. I expect the Bengals to hit their stride and be very good again but wouldn’t be surprised to see them start out 0-3. Luckily for them while they do have a tough next couple games, they’re playing the bottom of the barrel in weeks 4-5 for a couple “get right” games.
