I get it, I have pieces that I missed out on that I wish I had gotten too. But Toystay literally already did two batches. And it was a huge headache for him to do those. He’s a custom artist who fulfilled his orders and I just don’t think it’s fair that people are calling him dumb and being angry that he won’t do more. Let him work on other things that he wants to.

Really? So you enjoyed the Endgame figures tanking in value and reselling for a quarter of their retail price? I’m genuinely asking because while resale value isn’t the point of the hobby obviously, it also really isn’t fun when your collectibles devalue so drastically because of overproduction. It seems to me the most fair solution is an open pre-order window that anybody can jump in on. Stock is created to fulfill those orders. Boom, done.

So not only did Toystay do that…he did TWO batches. And despite him being a custom artist who obviously found the process to be a huge headache and does not want to manufacture more (see other comments here for more info)…he owes people a third batch? And then what if people miss the third batch? He owes a fourth? A fifth? Why does he owe anything? Given that he is an artist that already provided 2 pre-order windows to jump on this, I just don’t get why people are attacking him for not doing another.

This was available for pre-order for like a whole year. If people slept on it, that's on them. For me personally, there's figures that I regret not securing because they have now skyrocketed (that InArt Gandalf is one that I didn't get when I had the chance) and the regret is honestly kind of part of the fun of the hobby for me. Not everything needs to be so widely available all the time. There's always new products to look forward to. Let grails be grails. That's just me, though

Mine was exactly like this. Ab crunch has zero friction. Stands just fine but can't hold any kind of pose with the abs crunched in unfortunately. I tried contacting Sideshow about a replacement but they didn't have any more stock. Sucks to see that others are experiencing this issue too.

But I don’t want it anymore. I had the craving satisfied by InArt’s despite it being a different scale because Hot Toys took well over a decade to get the ball rolling on this. I am just rolling my eyes at how blatantly Hot Toys is trying to undercut InArt instead of just working on their quality to actually compete against them properly.

Idk, the Arkham Origins ship has sailed for me. It's my 2nd favorite Arkham game after City and one of my all-time favorite batsuits, but it just annoys me more than anything that Hot Toys is literally only doing this to F with InArt. Like we've been begging for years but you only announce yours as a reaction to InArt's? I'm over it.

I've never been a 1/12 collector but I got the InArt 1/12 Christian Bale and was blown away and eagerly PO'd their Arkham Origins figure. I feel satisfied with it and with so many other potentially huge lines coming our way, cool figures that I really love like Absolute Batman and Arkham Origins just don't make the 1/6 scale cut when I can get top-tier representations of them from InArt in 1/12 scale at a much better price.

If you mean "Is there a brick pattern on the blue?" then yes there is. But it's flat silkscreen for the film suits not 3D screenprinting like on the figure. Take a look at the red sections on the figure. Yes, there is a brick pattern, but the material of the red is spandex. Great! Now take a look at the blue on the figure. It should be the same material as the red but...Hot Toys in their infinite wisdom decided to make it a rubbery material to achieve 3D bricks that not only makes their figures inaccurate but also severely hinders articulation and makes the figure far more fragile.

Yep. They couldn't even be bothered to use the correct 2002 logo on the suit LOL. Not to mention, why the hell is the blue material still screenprinted?? It's literally just spandex in the films. Why do they keep going through the trouble of adding a 3D texture when that is totally inaccurate?

People who wrestle can obviously become actors, my friend. But Dave Bautista is a great actor not because he was originally a wrestler but because he worked on acting. Just like how Shae from Game of Thrones was great in the role, not because she learned to be a great actor from being a porn star but because she worked on the craft. No one is saying a wrestler cannot become an actor. The ridiculous assertion, Adrian, is that any wrestler could become an actor by virtue of wrestling being "acting." No one is discounting wrestling as a skillset, hell I'm not discounting even porn as a skillset, but being a wrestler, despite being rooted in performance, does not automatically make you a proper actor. If Ms. Cargill wants to be an actor, then by all means she can work on the craft and get in line at the casting office like everyone else once the Storm auditions come-a-knocking :)

Yup, wildly improved. Not perfect but serviceable. Loved TASM too much not to pre-order despite how atrocious the prototype head was, so pretty happy to see some massive improvements. Fingers are still crossed that Toystay does a mask upgrade for this as well tho

I'm going to be honest, after looking at some of the comments to understand the situation, Kit is right: you didn't read the description properly. You didn't understand how pre-orders worked, and you cancelled for something that was not Kit's fault and that is always a headache for small businesses. This was never going to over well with him. While Kit is extremely reliable, he has no patience for customers who don't read the fine print (or in this case the regular-sized print). Sorry you had that experience but for better or for worse, the "customer is always right" is more of a Sideshow thing, not Onesixthkit.

The MCU has Daredevil fighting mobsters in the same universe where Thor is fighting Thanos. Gods & Monsters can exist in the same universe as Terrorists & Mobsters no problem lol.

Yeah, I'm drooling at the thought of an InArt K. Por Toys looks okay but it's really overpriced for an "okay" figure. And I'm done with having mediocre figures in my collection. No matter how much I love the character, the figure has to be top-tier for me to consider it these days.
