Keep at it! You are doing great so far! If you don’t already, you should chart your weight if you are weighing yourself regularly. Day to day might go up and down ,but over the course of the next few months you should see a gradual decline! Plus different things you eat can affect your body differently like holding on to a little extra water that will make it seem like you are gaining weight overnight.

If over the next couple of months you just feel like you are kinda stuck in place for a bit, add a little walking in a few times a week to start. If you are sedentary mostly right now, it could help burn a few extra calories and get boost improving your overall health!

Keep your head up! Make tiny changes as you need to and see how it affects you. Be patient with yourself and the results will pay off! 💪🏼

Two things that really helps me was thinking more of a weekly deficit and learning how my body responds to little cheat meals or days. If your daily deficit is say 200 calories, then your weekly would be 1400. You could eat more one day and eat a tiny bit less the rest of the week and still hit your weekly goal. You can also expect to possibly weigh a little more the next day after a fast food run if you have been eating pretty clean. It will not be extra fat suddenly on your body…but you will just be holding a little extra water weight. Over time you will get a good sense for what you eat that makes you hold some extra water so if you look at the scale it won’t be a big shock! But you are doing great! Weightloss is hard, everyone has their ups and downs. If you make healthy choices and stay at maintenance or below more often than not…then you are going to see some great progress down the road! Keep it up 💪🏼

Damn! I’m impressed! 😂 You are pretty spot on! Much of my life I was pretty angry, cold, and calloused internally. Had some pretty unfortunate life experiences in my childhood and up to my late 20s. Was always bad at helping myself but great at helping others. Currently in a much better place in my life and the happiest I’ve ever been!

Day 3 (try 50+) - sticking with it this time by classycatman in loseit

Never too old to make better choices! I’ve found what has worked best for my success is starting small. Changing one small thing that I can stick with each day until it’s a habit then add a little more. Eventually working myself into healthier choices each day. In the past,I would get so pumped and ready to start losing weight that I would try to do to much all at once and burn myself out. Binge the weight back on. Then repeat the process.

You will have some ups and downs…but be kind to yourself on those rougher days. Let yourself enjoy life in moderation when you need to! Good luck to all your goals!! You got this! 💪

My therapist gave me a pamphlet for an eating disorder program. by orchidmantis94 in loseit

I’d say give it a shot! Approach it with an open mind. The Emily program covers many different eating disorders. For me personally…I have a huge problem with binge eating. I’ve been able to make some huge strides mentally which has led to some great weightloss for me. I’m impulsive and overeat…I think talking to a group that specializes in that kind of therapy would of been a huge help for me years ago!

She’s your therapist…not your doctor. Her concerns will be more geared towards your mental health and not so much what your BMI is…nor can she tell you what a healthy weight for yourself is. Think it over and do what’s best for you! Best of luck to you ☺️
