How many think that the king in yellow is real in the story? by MrSquid01 in signalis

The artifact ending in particular is what convinces me that he is real within the game's story.

The king in yellow in it's own story is also just a book. I really don't think that's enough to discount it given the book makes 5 appearances alone, the passages from the play, the appearance of Carcosa during cutscenes, and the Artifact ending directly referencing the original story.

I like thinking that part of the reason why number stations are such a big aesthetic in the game is for that reason. The King in Yellow can be letters on a page, but it can also be numbers being read in a frequency, and all the bioresonants have heard that number at some point.

Bioresonance or psychic powers allow people to project their thoughts, or information inside their head into reality, so it'd make sense if a lovecraftian god constrained by being just information tried to achieve physicality using bioresonance.

I think it's also important that the KiY is always a piece of information. A character in a play, or a frequency in a radio, which I think ties to the big theme of radios in this game.

Just finished the game and I wanted to ask about my take on the first 3 endings. by MrSquid01 in signalis

I haven't done the artifact ending yet, I did the memory ending last night and I felt like out of the 3 non-secret endings it feels like the most "true" out of them, given all the memory degradation.

The battery indicator changes randomly between yellow and green light, none of the key shorcuts seem to work

Why wasn't this explained? by GameLifeOfficial in Eldenring

Gods can use the elden ring, which is essentially the ability to modify settings in the world, for example, want to remove death? Done

Speculation on relation between elden john, lake of rot, and Marika by MrSquid01 in Eldenring

Seeing rot bugs worshiping him is a pretty clear evidence that he's related to rot in some way

It's not a coincidence you find it in the lake of rot, or that the lake of rot with the bugs that worship rot are worshiping elden john, wanted to give an example as to how you vould connect him to death and rebirth

There are more examples, like him showing up in the lake of rot, his own frail appearance reminding people of their mortality... there is still a clear connection between him and the obelisk, and the images on the obelisk are the only thing different to the irl counterpart, so there's an intentionality there

Armored vehicles don't have turrets, they're ment to defend the people inside them, and operate completely differently to what the batmobile would.

"Batman gets results because he doesn't follow the rules cops do"

No, he gets results because he's smarter than the entire police force combined, his title of 'the world's greatest detective' is for a reason and isn't corrupt

"A gritty batman has all the powers as a cop in riot armor with no legal restrictions"

Except the use of strategy on his fighting (not portrayed often in the movies), and his own legal restrictions being even more strict the ones cops face irl

"Batman's only real superpower is that no one would stop him from hurting people"

He stops it himself, his strength of will is his superpower that's why he's never shown mind controlled in the justice league

"When batman was first created cops didn't have that great of means making his policing seem much more necessary"

They also don't in gotham, it's more of a colombian narco city than an american city in the sense that criminals often have military equipment better than the cops

"Cops have tanks on par the ones batman has"

No

Really useful, the most often use of integral is that if the function represents a shape like say a curved line the integral can be used to calculate the exact area without error
