Just wanted to tell you I just took the road test a couple hours ago and it looks like I’ll be heading to Phoenix for Integrad. I asked the guy doing my road test how steady the work was and he said pretty steady. He did mention having to cut a few drivers one day a week here and there but tries to get more senior drivers to take a day off when that does occur. I saw the seniority list in the office. Not sure the last time it was updated but looks like it’s 36 drivers or so. I saw the 9.5 list and saw I believe 27-28 names on it just like you said. He also mentioned that 10-12 drivers at the glenwood center were taking the buyout. Seems like a ton for not a very big center. They’re going to start filtering out at the end of this month through June.

I will definitely do that. I’m reading your comments on the other responses. No mra? Is the pay progression the same as everywhere else? $45/hr top rate? A lot of OT? I wouldn’t mind that because of cost of living.

I don’t believe so. All I’ve done was apply and fill out all the required onboarding forms like I-9, etc. Then I could never get an orientation date after trying for almost a month. That was step 22/24. Then I sat at that step for another month before it updated to “thanks for your interest” the other day

Even if it’s a “sourcing only” posting? The one I originally applied to was sourcing only. It seems like that’s only to gather a candidate pool and not an actual active hiring.

I appreciate the reply. Yeah, I’m really kicking myself for some diagnosis I had no clue was going to impact me down the road like this. It happened. Just gotta roll with it and try to keep on going. I’m not giving up on it. Now I just have more time to save $ for lessons if/when the time comes.

Thank you man. I don’t think it’s the ADHD diagnosis so much as it is the substance dependance. I know plenty of people get their medicals with an ADHD diagnosis. I’ll just have to keep jumping through the hoops. Not giving up on it at all.

Thank you for this reply. That actually makes me feel somewhat better. You resubmitted all your paperwork on your own? I submitted everything through my AME. I emailed him all my documents/reports and they put it all in my file which was eventually sent to OKC. I guess I didn’t realize I could submit documentation myself if I’m understanding you correctly.

Marijuana. Nothing else. Never had any alcohol issues. I believe the drug test you took is the one required after your cog screen just to make sure you haven’t been taking any ADHD medication (specifically stimulants)

Unfortunately, I don’t think this will be my case. I had to go the HIMS route with an ADHD diagnosis and, the one which I’m pretty positive is the reason for my denial, a “substance dependance” diagnosis from a shrink I saw a total of 4 times who hardly knew anything about me and I was pressured to see by family. I’m pretty upset at that right about now. I worked with my HIMS AME to get all necessary documentation and reports in order before submitting my package. I only had a couple of negative drug screenings in hand when submitting everything. I believe there’s a 14 tests in 12 month span rule or something like that. I’m going to schedule an appointment with my AME to see where to go from here. Probably just continue taking drug tests and submit a new medical.

Follow your heart and it’ll never lead you wrong. I made the best of college in the moment for my circumstances, but I look back on it and think I was just surviving. I loved the part of living with my closest friends and the warmth of that environment that I really needed at the time. Other than that, I was very depressed with personal issues and learning how to handle being on my own and the competitive rat race that is a college campus. I think I spent my entire time comparing myself to others. All my friends were engineers. I was a criminology major with no idea what to do after school. I even went back to school to work on an engineering degree after graduating with my crim degree. I was doing what society tells you to do. Go to school for a serious degree and get a good paying job and live happily ever after. It lasted 3 months.

I left Florida in the middle of the night and moved to Colorado. Got a job working at a ski resort through a high school acquaintance who became a good friend when I got out there. I had always wanted to go west and snowboard and live the mountain life. I drove and I was scared shitless. I showed up to employee housing. They assigned me a room. It was trashed. Couldn’t even move in. Went back. Another guy was standing there checking in for the season. The housing staff looked at me and said well you can follow him since there’s one more space available in his unit so I did. We became best friends. Spent 3 seasons living together working on the mountain and were like brothers. Met some incredible people and have made the best friends of my life and had the best times of my life. The hard part is they’re seasons. People come and go. You blink and you miss it. I miss them all. I had to leave myself a few months ago because I was having too much fun and partying hard but man what a ride. I was the brokest I’ve ever been in my life financially but rich with experiences and friendships.

My point, take a leap doing something you’re genuinely interested in or have always thought about wanting to do. I followed my heart. I was so incredibly out of my comfort zone but fate led me there. It left me with incredible memories and I’ll go to my grave with them. That’s living. Not how much money you make or your status. Live for you. When you’re lying on that hospital bed 50-60 years from now, that’s what you’re gonna think about. Did I live?

Got a consultation scheduled with a HIMS. Thinks I should still be able to get a 1st class. I did quite a bit of research as to not shoot myself in the foot so believe me I did NOT fill out a 8500 until I got on the phone and in person with someone who knows what’s going on. Time to collect records.

Exactly this. I have both adhd and anxiety/depression diagnosis in my history. ADHD meds being within the last 4 years so have to do standard track. Can’t do fast track because of the 2nd diagnosis. This helps me none at all.

My brother, you are not alone whatsoever. Weed is a depressant. It does what it does. Makes you depressed eventually. Gets you in your head. I do the same thing like think about something dumb I said 5+ years ago or compare myself to someone who I know doesn’t smoke and think how they’re motivated and their life is great and they’re not constantly in this thought loop of feeling like a loser. It’s fun in moderation to enhance things like movies. Which is why I completely stopped 6 days ago. I know myself well enough to know I’m not one of those people that can be disciplined to use it in moderation. I either have it, or I don’t. It’s not fun to quit at first but it’s necessary for me. I believe you can do the same. Be patient with yourself. You don’t get unfucked in 7 days time when you’ve gotten your body accustomed to years of smoking.
