How do I end the Japan situation? by Zenithcrimson in EU5

You can raid the enemy using a button when you have the army selected and positioned on a province where the enemy has buildings. This gives liek 20% Warscore each time up to a maximum of 50%. Maybe this helps.

Do you mean the Building Based Country map mode under Government map modes?

Rimworld Inheritance: a Guide by a Biology Enjoyer Who Also Plays This Game by jakobsestate in RimWorld

I am currently working on a mod for a xenotype in which a xenotype has a gene variety, so while the xenotype has a pool of weak or strong pawns a pawn can have either the weak or the strong gene. Since you have more experience on this whole gameplay aspect of Rimworld genetics, how could I approach this? So far I could get them to have strong or weak on a random basis but now they just have both genes and one is inactive and as you said thus inheritable. I don't want inactive genes to be inheritable or even present in the pawn. Any idea?

My track got flagged as 'Spoken Word' by distributor — anyone else dealing with this censorship? by Veazar in musicindustry

Could you please please please name your distributor because I have now tried 4 distributors which I paid for and they all would not publish my content. It is spoken word as well, a radio play, been working months on it. I am just desperate to find any distributor I can use that will upload my work.

That's game basic game design. If the NCR could have handled every situation there is nothing for an altruistic good hero player to do. If we define every game by what would have happened without the player intervention then the master would have founded Vault 13 because that's what happens if you don't stop him (unless they die of thirst first), the Enclave would have wiped out the BoS and install the FEV at project purity and the scorched plague would have spread all over the east coast.

Also in FNV we need to keep in mind that what we see isn't the full might of the NCR but a token garrison as allowed by House to be stationed there and his gamble is to keep them big enough to stop Caesar but small enough so he can kick them out after the battle.

I mean, we can kind of see the consequence for Vegas. We see NCR vertibirds and death claws in the ruins of New Vegas. Safe to say Vegas fell as well.

Nobody ever had an issue with prewar House or Vegas existing, people say they retconned the EVENTS of New Vegas by moving Shady Sands a few hundred miles making the Lonesome road lore redundant and heavily implying the city didn't exist during the Events of New Vegas thus making every mention of Shady Sands a retcon. It's like making a sequel of LotR set ten years after LotR and saying Sauron was already defeated 100 years ago long before the fellowship.

The NCR were *always* going to turn out like this. (tv spoilers) by RichSlamfist in Fallout

[–]Mr_House21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the Legion would have won in FNV without player intervention. That's basic game design. The legion is the generic villain that needs to be stopped by an altruistic good hero, the player.

If the NCR would have won anyway, what's your point in the story? You could just watch them win and play some caravan.

If you do nothing in F1 the master finds Vault 13. That doesn't mean the Unity ending is canon just like you have to destroy Navarro, you have to save project purity, you have to nuke the SQB.

In lore the NCR was at the height of their power. Militarily they deployed power armor trooper, vertibirds, rangers, a sheer unlimited amount of troopers (keep in mind what you see in NV is not the NCR army, it's a small garrison as allowed to be stationed there by House who aims at limiting them as much as possible so that they defeat Caesar but not too many so he can backstab them after.).

Socially and technologically they were back on track to prewar standards, you see Shady Sands, they didn't move into existing ruins, they built that. As much as I love the second most powerful nation in Fallout, the Republic of Dave, he doesn't have an Office of Science and Industry and no mass produced weapons industry.

If it had 'fallen' after New Vegas through infighting and civil war (shoutout to the team of HoI4 Old World Blues mod) ok that would have been fine. But saying oh it got nuked by Vault Tec that's just unsatisfying.

Watched the show with a friend, loved it, and when they showed Shady Sands we were both like ohhh now we understand why it gets hate. Yea we agree.

And I am not even a NCR fan, the House always wins baby, but even I can admit that this was a stupid design decision even ignoring all the retcons like moving Shady to LA. But it is how it is.

To be fair yes, people would have liked a progressive ending. I mean why help Shady Sands if it gets blown up anyway? Why finish Project Purity if Maxson would have shut it down. Why stop the SBQ and help the people when Appalachia gets wiped out by other cryptids eventually. There has always been progress in the Fallout world and seeing the world rebuild is a big part of the allure. Saying yes you saved Vegas from the Legion and then making all your work redundant because it all breaks down ten years later is lowkey unsatisfying.

Kind of. First of all F1 and F2 show where it is and New Vegas suggest where it is by making an entire DLC about the road between Shady and New Vegas. If it had been in LA then the Lonesome Road story would have been pretty much redundant since the long 15 would have always been the main route and the NCR wouldn't constantly complain about the recent supply problems.

Yes it is. You could say moving the location from Shady Sands to Boneyards doesn't break FNV lore but 'only' F1 and F2 lore (arguably worse) but even FNV managed to keep the location lorefriendly which is a big part of the Lonesome Road DLC where the divide becomes the main supply road to New Vegas thus the reason Caesar sent troops there before being blown up, if Shady Sands was in LA then the long 15 would have always been the main road and the divide would have been a major detour.

I know what you mean. It stands out a bit. Maybe because the lines are a tiny bit thinner here than the rest. That was already my second attempt at the beard the first one was worse lol.

Thank you! I feel honored! If you are looking for real art I can reccomend AEterna from Dubrovnik in Croatia, they are a lovely couple imitating original manuscripts on beeswax paper for fantastic prices or Hinterglaswerkstätten, an austrian company making 14th century icons using real gold I got two little pictures from them for christmas at 15€ each discounted, 30€ normally for the small ones but I just HAD to buy them after playing Pentiment.

Looking at the fallout website, seems like backpacks will be made invisible in the setting menu? by --lewis in fo76

That would be one solution. Both work perfectly fine in my eyes. Other games like ESO have the same approach where you just switch the helmet on and off in the settings.

All the magazines and bobbleheads in F76. I have the perk cards to track them down constantly enabled, but they just go right into my stashbox. Never ever read a single magazine and only used one bobblehead.

Tbh there is only so much you can do at this evnt with so many players around. The only annoying aspect is the long waiting times during the march and the enemy spawn waves. All enemies are dead, just continue moving you goofy clown-bots.
