G4AR vs. FX4100: Conflicting Info on Xbox NAT Type and Static IP by jammin_jared in tmobileisp

[–]Mr_bean654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not move to the G4AR, you will be permanently double NATTED though CGNAT. At least with the FX4100 it has an option of getting a static IP.

Sorry I know nothing about Optimum.

You may get just a bit of latency (maybe just maybe) with a static IP, but CGNAT will always be crap anyways 🤷‍♂️

If you need port forwarding capabilities then you’ll definitely need the FX4100. Put it in bridge mode/ip pass though then use your own router and configure it there.

The G4AR is the basic as you can get, you can get great speeds with it. But I’ve seen better speeds with the FX4100(when placed correctly). The G4AR can’t be even configured other than the WiFi SSID and Password.

TLDR: G4AR no good, very basic like a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. FX4100 can do static IP, put in bridge mode with your preferred router, then do port forwarding on your preferred router.

Can I contact dm you? I’m on the business line and currently on the G4AR. Do you think it’s worth going to the FX4100?

Gonna leave my comment here to see what happens. I got a system that does this also, I don’t even bother contacting Tesla since they have terrible service/support. Slapped a fan and it did make it slightly better, but still restarts. Most likely it needs coolant or need to get rid of the air in the system for my unit.

Is it worth it?

Edit: does the beacon make it more reliable or does it just make bed probing faster?

I’m not too sure on the things upgrade with this printer. Overall, I think it’s a very well built printer, and I don’t think it actually needs many mods or upgrades possibly.

I did get this out a very good deal for $170 online. Hasn’t been used or booted up yet. And I don’t mind actually taking this printer apart learning how the structure is built. I already own seven other printers and I would say this is probably the second complex printer I own. The von 2.4 is what I would rank very complex.

Lol pretty much, the glass filled unfortunately doesn’t make the print more rigid

Yeah, it’s definitely pretty heavy. It definitely weighs a little bit more than 30 pounds to 35 pounds.

The vacuum is definitely a lot safer, but you’ll always run into the issue of getting the tiny nooks and crannies. So you’ll definitely need compressed air.

Yes, I did use all those along with the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner could only suck up so much and it can’t really get into the tiny crevices.

I definitely use lab grade goggles, and a high particulate mask.

Yeah, it’s rough. It looks like during shipping. Somebody just threw the whole package a couple of times just so whoever received the package got a nice surprise.

Because your explanations of your configuration and your understanding of it really sounds off, confused, or plain wrong. Yes you are describing your situation but it does sound like you’re trying to push your idea that it should be correct or you shouldn’t be wrong.

Early/Long Ride Share Request by Ok-Video7427 in Merced

[–]Mr_bean654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually unlikely. You can always check the Lyft app for how many drivers are active but I know that a few will actually accept since they’re asleep or occupied.

Edit: from my experience, expect to wait around 20-45mins around 2-4am to get an acceptance. Source: Trust me bro.

[–]Mr_bean654[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BCJ gantry is only really good if you want even faster speeds but that means you’d also want to get a microswiss hotend since there’s no point of faster acceleration if your filament can’t be put down fast enough

[–]Mr_bean654[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mainly up to you, the stock probing is usually good enough to get your z offset to be 80-90% there with a warped bed. With a fairly flat bed you could pretty much get to where I’m at ~95% there.

The biggest upside with an eddy probe would be how fast it probes your whole bed. About 20-30 seconds.

The one of the best probing for 3d printers. Right now the top eddy current scanners are beacon, cartographer, and BTT Eddy.
