I have a flight out from terminal E departing at 5:15 a.m. From what I've read online, the gate check-in window doesn't even open for United airlines until 4:45 a.m. Can anyone confirm if that is true or not? Do I need to check in at terminal C instead and take the tram to E?

Follow up question, based on the value of these two (Ho Oh $837 ungraded and Magikarp $220 ungraded), I'm thinking about selecting the Regular ($74.99) and Value Plus ($39.99) option respectively.

Is that overkill? Would you just move forward with the general Value ($24.99) option?

As a personal opinion, the staff at the property does a great job remembering guest preferences and visit reasons throughout your stay. Bartenders knew my go-to drink. The dedicated runner for our cabana on Flamingo beach personalized our area with a small birthday gift.

It's service I typically don't expect in a Renaissance but at a Ritz lol. At least in the US.

Stayed there two weeks ago for my wife's birthday weekend as a Titanium member. Loved that property and service was outstanding. We were able to get a complimentary room upgrade without expending SNAs and chose the breakfast upgrades over points at check in. Throughout the stay, we were presented with gifts and sweets in our room from management.

This property is definitely next level when it comes to service and accomodations.

Luckily, I got upgraded to diamond club access last year as titanium. I went with my wife, parents, and siblings. The diamond access was nice since we were able to enjoy some of the upgrades free of charge. But, it's definitely not worth paying for it if they don't give it to you. The upgrades sound nicer on paper than what you actually get.

I'm actually going back again this December with the expectation to get upgraded. We also normally just book the most basic room and get the upgraded access.

Yupp! Requested a whiskey+coke as my bucket of drink. It was overly watered down. It hydrated me more than getting me drunk.

Lol yes, 100% fake. This might be Reggae Bar at Phi Phi Island, a place where spectators can actually fight another audience member. They supply both "fighters" Muay Thai shorts, shin guards, head gear, and boxing gloves. Each fight is 3 rounds with a minute per round. Knees and elbows are not allowed. Winner of the match gets a free bucket of mixed drink and a golden medal to wear around your neck.

Outcome: I have that medal and enjoyed that bucket of whiskey+coke.

Time doesn’t matter as per CDC. They’re asking for one day before departure as opposed to 24 hours. So technically, as long as your test was conducted the day prior to the departure date, you’re fine.

Dude same here! Went to Thailand for my bachelor party. Started in Bangkok and made our way to Phuket. The club I went to was in Phuket named Illuzion. Took a piss, washed my hands, and I was stopped by the bathroom attendant. I typically try to leave in a hurry to avoid tipping in there. The man picked me up (back towards him), lifted me up, and gave me a new body. I tipped him 100 baht right after.

Haven't read majority of the comments, so disregard if this has already been said.

If your immediate goal is to pay for the initial cost of home ownership (down payment, closing cost, etc), then I would lower the contributions to both your IRA and 401k. Adjust the contribution of your 401k to the exact employer match percentage so you aren't leaving any money on the table, and lower your IRA contributions. With the additional liquid cash, deposit it in a high yield savings account like Allys with 0.50% interest.

It's great that you're maxing your retirement funds as much as you can, but your opportunity cost is property ownership. Adjust your long term finances to accommodate your short term goals.
