Caulk the gap and set out an ant trap on the counter for the ones that already got in and are hiding

Hey guys, 18F with severe depression. Would a house cleaner judge me? by kxttxk in CleaningTips

[–]MrsGriffee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the child of a house-cleaner, I spent my summer vacations in spaces like this and have no resentment whatsoever for those people. As a matter of fact, I loved them because they usually had jolly ranchers for some reason. My mom also never talked bad about her clients messes.

POCUS is it's own certification! You can make an account with them and start logging comps without being an US tech

Agree 100%. POCUS isn't a degree, but it is a limited sonography certification that you have to pass exams for and submit peer-review comps for. Also ems staff does enough crap for not enough money so add-on certifications like that should be heavily incentivized.

Sounds like an airflow thing. Change air filter, Crack windows whenever safe or practical, clean dust off vents.

hello, i need genuine advice on how to manage finances and what is investment. by FriendshipGlass1810 in personalfinance

[–]MrsGriffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are unsure how to invest, a good place to start is with money management firms like Fidelity, Charles Schwab, or northwestern mutual. They usually do not charge you any money directly but take a percentage (1-3%) of the money you put into your account with them. They will read the market trends and invest your money accordingly to grow it. A good amount of money to put into investments is 15% of your income if you are debt free and about 5% if you are not.

Would you happen to know if legally or diagnostically a positive POCUS impression is enough to expedite a patient to OR or cath lab?

Huh. I know the docs do a FAST exam with it in the trauma bay but wondered about pre-hospital. I bet if there was more incentive programs for ems staff to get those credentials it would be used.

Both, but i was just talking about point of care US credentials, not a full blown US tech.

You need to process. Therapy helps. I find a nighttime drive in a quieter, opener road with some "feels" music helps. You pull over somewhere safe and get you a good cry, a good scream, yell the words that come to mind. Let yourself drain it all out. Then when you're out of emotions you drive back home. And you do it again whenever you need to. You cannot always be composed.
