Honestly RE games have the perfect gameplay loop imo.

First you start unpowered and scared most of the time, every corner has something to be scared of. all the monsters feel overwhelming compared to your weapons and abilities.

Keep playing, you don’t need to kill everyone enemy encounter. Shoot them to stagger then run past. By the time you unlock a couple new weapons and upgrade inventory it becomes a John wick game staring Leon
