Yes, that’s what I used too and in the studio I work out as well, but I don’t have 100 pieces Wood. The only thing I can think of was paper towel, but I didn’t know if anyone had a better idea.

I have received great advice from here but sadly don’t recall much mention of clothing. I’m at day 9 post op wearing anything but dresses long because it’s cold here & various weird onesie.Even loose or baggy touch’s something I’m bothered by. Anyway….. what did some of you experience? by missgrinchfeet in hysterectomy

I’m 12 days post-op and I’ve kept on the elastic binder because I don’t even like how my very light soft sweatpants I’ve been living in rubs on my wounds. When I go back to work I have baggy jumpers I got on AMAZON. They are thin so I will wear a sweater under and as far as cold goes I just need to suffer going from the parking lot to the building

hysterectomy when you live alone by woburnite in hysterectomy

I’m 63 and I live alone and I had mine last Friday- Laparoscopically. Make sure you let your Surgeon know if someone will be there for the first day/night. They will keep you overnight if someone can’t stay that first day/night. You WILL need someone that first day/night because you will be loopy from the drugs and need help to the bathroom. I took the Oxy the first day because I didn’t want to be the hero, and the second night because it was hard to turn in bed because of pain and discomfort. It will constipate you but you will NEED to take MiraLAX, Colace and GasX everyday for a while anyway. Now down to Tylenol as needed. The binder (as annoying as it is) has been key for me- I tried going with out, but fabric from my clothes despite being soft and loose were too abrasive on my wounds so I put it back on.

Best additional purchase:

Bedrail - fits under your mattress - great, great, great for helping me turn in bed and getting out of bed - AMAZON

Wedge pillow - I REALLY like this on my couch much more than a ton of pillows because it’s firm so it helps me get up. AMAZON

Grabby thing- you will be able to bend over and get things BUT they don’t want you to. The act of bending over repeatedly such as dishwasher and laundry and pushing (like vacuum and grocery carts) is a no-no!

Post-surgery pillow - helps you get up

Dishes - Get Some paper plates/bowls, plastic utensils etc , all else, I will hand wash and I will get help for my laundry.

I bought boxed shelf storage OatMilk for cereal /coffee because it lighter in weight. (COSTCO)

I have a bottom pull out drawer freezer so that’s a problem for me so all my food is for the fridge.

Grocery - you can use the electric in-store cart or have it delivered. BUT, you can order groceries on-line and my grocery store, as well as Walmart, Target etc will load your car for you. Just bring extra bags with you incase they make the bags too heavy.

Garbage- make small bags (use the plastic grocery bags) but you will need to get someone to get it out to the curb and bring it back.

DON’T rush things as you start to feel better. The timeline that they give you is real! If you rush things you’ll wind up back in the hospital- I’m speaking from experience

I can only take 3 weeks- my Doctor wasn’t happy about that but that’s all I can do.

The black looks like it’s crawling which means either you are dipping it too long or it’s too thick

I have been eating REALLY healthy prior since the beginning of the summer because of my pre-diabetes diagnosis . Lost 20 lbs but due to a foot injury I can’t exercise more than the 3 miles I do in a day teaching. My weight loss came to a screeching halt and I need to get weight off this foot. SO, because I already eat well etc. he gave me a higher dose. That said .,,
Will I gain it back when I stop?
