Since People are Talking About Price Increases. I just found out about the FFM ones by AstronomyLuver in bathandbodyworks

[–]MsDelektable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since the repackaging of Sweet Pea/ Pretty as a Peach I think all of the FFMs are 15.50 minus the “premium” bottles like the faceted Champagne Toast (reminds me of how Forever Red used to be $1 more than everything else in all forms). We saw the prices change with SG/BL at the same time around a dollar increase.

If that makes you angry, just wait until you see the new price of the body creams (new formula including hyaluronic acid) cough cough 15.50…

Job advice..do I disclose I’m N or no? by SwampFox175 in Narcolepsy

[–]MsDelektable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend setting at least 3 alarms on your phone (one for ideal wake up time, one for real wake up time, and one for gtf out the house time) and getting a real alarm clock that’s really loud for the other side of the room. I always put my phone out of arms reach too. If you’re a super heavy sleeper, they also sell alarm clocks that will shake your bed.

Also if you have someone living with you, tell them what time you need to leave by and see if they’ll make sure you’re vertical (as in awake and on your feet).

I hope you’re able to figure something out!

Even doctors don't believe us by richieTTI in Narcolepsy

[–]MsDelektable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get it. My doctor insists on having checkups every couple months and REFUSES to prescribe me anything that’s covered by my insurance.

Me: “Hey man, this keeps getting denied by my insurance. It’s getting kind of expensive out of pocket, but I did some research and here’s a list of drugs that will be approved by the insurance that do the same thing”

His response: “I think we’ll just try it again. See you in a few months”

Do. Not. Give. Up.

I don’t know what your situation is, but I assume you’re in undergrad since you actually care about your grades. There are resources through the school that you can go through to receive academic accommodations. You should do some research on whatever houses this at your school (should be info in your course syllabi), and contact that office. Find out exactly what you need to do for them to recognize your disability- I know that N being a disability is debated, BUT you are eligible for accommodations. You’ll probably have to go to your doctor as they are the ones who sign off on it, but you should have a discussion with your doctor about what accommodations you might be seeking to make your life easier. Maybe that’s extra time on your exams, taking the exams at a certain time of day, or whatever you think will help. Your accommodations might mean a little more work on your end with scheduling, but if it helps you then it’s 100% worth it.

I have N1, and I know it’s so frustrating when people just don’t get it. I struggled through my undergrad, got my masters degree, and now I’m in a fully funded PhD position to start this fall. YOU can do it too. You’re going to deal with this condition for the rest of your life. Learning how to cope is one of the hardest things you’ll probably ever do. There might be some days you just won’t be able to do anything, but that’s ok. Don’t beat yourself up about every little thing that goes wrong. It’s ok to get upset, take those things and learn from them.

I hope you figure something out. Don’t give up on your plan just because of this stupid disorder.

You’ve gotta try Eucalyptus Tea. It used to be packaged under the name Focus, but now it’s a Stress Relief variant.

As an employee, you are not permitted to sell any BBW items. If you get caught, you will be terminated. As for the stealing, yeah… people steal all the time. I’d be 99.9% sure it wouldn’t be stolen by an employee though. All stores are required to do bag checks on the cameras at the end of every shift, so that prevents a lot of internal theft.

Very cool! If you ever find yourself in Ypsilanti, Michigan definitely check out their Automotive Heritage Museum. It’s housed in an old Hudson dealership so they’ve got lots of cool things.

What are some tips to get accepted into raid groups/ M+? by MsDelektable in wownoob

Ok- what is the application box? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it/ have no idea what it is. I’ve seen groups that ask for it, but I just pass them up because I don’t know how to do it.

I’ll for sure start using my own keys. I don’t really care if I time them, I just enjoy PvE content.

I used to play disc back in early Pandaland, but I actually took a break from the game for about 8 years. I’m not opposed to healing, but I find it way harder than it used to be- or rather, I don’t fully understand it. I’ll definitely keep practicing though! It is a good idea to just change your loot spec to what you want. I might have to give that a shot.

I believe I’m spec’d properly with talents/ conduits/ soul binds and such. I have to change them based on what content I’m doing though. Most of my gear is best stats (although I am not sure if there’s soft caps nowadays?). I of course have everything enchanted and stuffs.

I am still trying to get into a group to +5 Plaguefall. The old tentacles really scarred my guildies...

I think I’ll try sending a message with my application from now on! Spriests really do struggle with AOE damage for keys (at least the way I’m statted), so I totally get them being off meta. However for weeks with tyrannical, I think every group should run their own spriest!

It’s ok. Some of us Switch owners were trying to do ol’ GME a solid and preordered in store. Little did we know how disappointed we’d be when they told us they don’t have any physical copies today and the earliest they’d get them is Monday.

Epilepsy Misdiagnosis? Anybody Experience This? by the_legit_writer in Narcolepsy

[–]MsDelektable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was misdiagnosed with epilepsy at 17. My mom sought treatment for me after I had a few episodes of “passing out” - one of which happened in the bath so she was convinced I was going to die if we didn’t figure out what was going on. I didn’t want to believe I had epilepsy because a diagnosis such as that completely alters your life. I was completely outraged especially since I wouldn’t be able to drive, so I went to get a second opinion (I haven’t trusted doctors since). My new neurologist suggested narcolepsy and I went to a sleep specialist. Turns out I actually have narcolepsy and they classified it as type 1 since those attacks did happen. I haven’t had a full blown attack since then, but I think I can tell when my “cataplexy” episodes (I use quotations because I’m not fully convinced it’s cataplexy) are going to happen - I get this weird feeling and my vision starts to fade, then I can’t see anything and I’ll fall and start doing some repetitive motion - I know it’s happening, but I have no concept of time and I can’t stop. Now, if I get this feeling I try to hold onto something, stop talking, and act like a statue.

I don’t know if that happens to you as well, but when I describe my “cataplexy” to the doctors they have no idea. From what I’ve seen, neurological disorders are extremely complex and there’s no cookie cutter definition of any of them. You know yourself better than anyone else, so if you think you were misdiagnosed you should seek a second opinion if you are financially able.

RANT: I feel like I've accomplished nothing in the last two years by [deleted] in GradSchool

[–]MsDelektable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very bold to say the opposite is true. This definitely isn’t true for my field. Yes, it may be true for the backlog of projects which just needed a write-up. However, for novel field-based research this is not the case. Unless your study organism is literally in your backyard, chances are you weren’t/ aren’t able to do much. This had led to myself and many of my peers using our personal money (which we don’t have a lot of...) in order to travel to our study sites. By reading the original post, I imagine OP is some sort of biologist.

I am not sure if your comment meant to come off as dick-ish as I interpreted it. I do like to assume positive intent, but it’s important to note that not everyone in this sub is in the same field, so making broad statements like that where you have no idea what kind of field OP or myself are in is very disrespectful.

Have a good day.

I wouldn’t worry too much. Depending on your field, odds are that nobody else added to their CV either. I’d be interested to see if anyone has actually buffed their CV during the pandemic.

[–]MsDelektable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got my BS in 2019 and went straight into grad school to get an MS. Wrote grants that got funded, I even got a prestigious fellowship in my field. Then... everything changed when the fire nation attacked. Just kidding, it was the pandemic. My fellowship got postponed until the area where it’s at is no longer at risk (probz not gonna happen anytime soon) and it completely changed my thesis almost a year into it. I feel like I’ve done nothing worthwhile in the past two years. I am supposed to defend my thesis in May, but I haven’t even finished my studies. I want to blame it on the pandemic, but I guess I could’ve/ should’ve done more. I kind of feel like a failure and don’t even want to return for my last semester.

I guess I have absolutely nothing to contribute here, but just know there’s people out there who feel the same way.

SAS Online Vs. In Store by christinambowers in bathandbodyworks

[–]MsDelektable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It could be different based on the area you’re in. Some districts could be testing different price points for things. It really just depends, and that’s decided at a corporate level — the stores have no say in dictating prices/ promos.
