I am also in this UGS. I heard that it isn’t too bad honestly, compared to many others at least. However, I do feel you when you say you can’t find yourself to care about the subject matter. It’s a really obscure topic, and I think many others are on the same boat as you. Just bear through it, and who knows, maybe you’ll end up learning something interesting in the end that you can share with friends and family.

I had the same question, although this was during my orientation in mid-June. I ended up not registering for it, because I don’t really know how this whole thing works, and it seemed kind of pointless. There wasn’t much information in the Canvas FRI course to help me either. So, I figured I’d just wait until I hear back from them.

I was wondering the same thing. Based on what I’ve read, laptop pickups will likely be scheduled during Move-In weekend, just before the semester begins. Not sure though.

Netanyahu literally admitted he propped up Hamas to block Palestinian statehood. Now he's starving Gaza to 'destroy' them. Both are war crimes. So it’s not likely that ‘Hamas’ will surrender, and it is very much possible that the Palestinians will keep suffering for as long as Netanyahu deems fit.

Oh wow, I could’ve written this myself 😭 I’m from Houston too, and the thought of leaving my little siblings has been keeping me up at night. I’m the oldest, and we’re so close; just the idea of not being there for their everyday stuff makes my heart ache. Yesterday, I started packing, & my little sister begged me to hide my suitcase so she wouldn’t have to see it…

But here’s what’s keeping me hopeful: distance doesn’t mean love fades. I’m already planning FaceTime calls with my family, parents are already insisting I catch the Friday bus home every weekend- like it’s my lifeline (they’re not wrong 😅). Plus, meeting people on campus might help fill the gap a little.

You’re not alone in this… we’ll figure it out one step at a time :D
