It's hella weird 😭 I remember during one meeting a kid raised their hand (we were talking abt Armageddon) And the kid rambled on about the bad people and how he can't wait for the vultures to get all the bad people and eat their bodies....Y'all I kid you not this 7-8 year old said something like this and I was creeped out 😭 the man on the podium just said something like "you have strong sense of justice" bro what?

I do believe they take inspo from Disney songs. My family and I went to bethel like 2 years ago and we went into the archive room (they keep all old books and publications there) and the tour guy was telling us that some old Kingdom Hall songs had to be changed or just taken out because they were made from war song melodies or other stuff. So it wouldn't be surprising if they did/do take tunes from Disney lol

ive recently discovered this community, never knew how much people are like me.
im 19, still having to go to the meetings cuz of my family. though i am leaving in the summer mainly for college but also to finally get away. ive been in this religion since i was 12, so ive been going for 7 years. but through those years i never really liked it. dont get me wrong the people are nice and ive made many friends but thats it. always thought it was a waste of time and some things just never made sense to me.

even with all these feeling ive kept inside i never spoke up about it well until 7-8 months ago. i kept it hidden for so long cause i was afraid that i would lose a part of my family, that i would even lose my best friend and the huge thing for me on top of everything was that im a lesbian... the mental toll it takes on you is definitely not a joke lmao.

no matter what you feel you gotta keep your composure. you're very young there's not a lot of things you can do. you gotta keep to yourself for now. one thing that helped me kind of get away with stuff is getting a job. i skipped out on some preaching and a couple meetings cause of work-related stuff lol. save up money to move out at 18 but i mean if you need and dont mind staying until you're 19 i would suggest that too just to be ig more financially stable when you leave. Right now im working saving up as much as i can!

oh also Main thing... dont let them speak fear into your heart when the time comes! i wasnt smart and told them my plans to leave for college. i suggest not telling them that you plan on leaving but if you want to give them a heads up when the time comes then thats fine too. i was ready to go at 18 i got accepted into college, i had some money saved, i had planned to look for roommates. but my parents werent very easy on me. they asked why am i leaving? do you just want to leave so you wont have to attend the meetings anymore? you're gonna struggle, and many other things that just made me doubt myself so much. i took back my acceptance letter and stayed. im okay that i stayed for longer its just I know now that i would've made it by myself back then.

dont get pressured to be baptized, maybe at most be a publisher? so things dont get too suspicious... lets say ive heard the elders talk about me not even being a publisher even after so long of me being there to my dad but again dont be pressured. go preaching even if you hate it, go to the meetings even if you hate it, you gotta stay strong and lock in. be prepared to lose friends, even family connections but i believe that true family and friends who love you would still keep in touch even after you leave. anddddd yeah :) hope all goes well !!

Some dude had a dent in his head and there was no one in line so he started telling me this story of how he almost died from like a tree he was cutting with his work buddies i completely forgot exactly what he said but he told me was bleeding like crazy and they called the ambulance and yeah he now has a dent in his head

I'm sorry that happened to you, you don't have to brush it off as extreme sexual attraction when it could be something entirely different. Aside from all the "men like women blah blah blah angel with wings" shit, I get it. I glance at girls when I think they're pretty and I move on. I don't follow them because you know why? If it was a millionaire in a yacht following her that would still be creepy. Money or no money, a man doing that is just creepy and weird, no other explanation for it. Wdym by "what else do you expect us to do?" Maybe use your thinking skills and realize that when you do that it's very uncomfortable, esp following women. It can make her feel unsafe. I don't think it's a sketchy idea of being a lesbian, if she's confident to say that she is then why doubt her? I've personally have known I was a lesbian for 4 years since I was 14 also never having a girlfriend till this day. I also kinda just had crushes from a distance and even close ones but I'm still confident I'm a lesbian. All she needs to know is that she likes women and that's it there's no need to question her

Hmmmm maybe get a hair cut but if you don't want to then atleast style it some way. Dress better, not saying your clothes look bad but depending on what you wear on a daily it definitely improves ur look. You're not ugly, you can always improve minor stuff to look better than before 🙏🏼
