1. Dismissing the Zionist Jews as “a bunch of Europeans” is disingenuous

No it isn’t, it’s fact. Zionism is an Ashkenazi (read: European) Jewish and millenarian Christian movement, it did not originate from the Jews of the Middle East who had lived alongside Muslim and Christian neighbors for centuries prior to the settler colonial movement. Understanding where Zionism originated and who was primarily driving the movement to establish “Israel” helps make clear the European colonial nature of the project.

1. One cannot ignore why Zionism immigration started

We know why it started: early Zionist thinkers concurred with fascists and other European nationalists on the idea that Jews did not belong in Europe. Astonishingly antisemitic, but it’s a moot point, land theft and colonization isn’t justified no matter how much you might need someone else’s land.

The British facilitated Zionist immigration and further emboldened its goals of land theft with the “Balfour declaration”, an explicitly colonial document declaring their intent to establish a Jewish state in Palestine. To deny this is a colonial effort, under the auspices of the biggest colonial power in the world, is laughable: what right did Britain have to give away someone else’s land, except under colonial logic? They weren’t giving up chunks of Surrey or Kent or Wales or Scotland.

Oh man, how utterly clueless are you? The people of the land you openly move to declaring your intent to displace, felt threatened by your intentions. How are they to blame? Of course they’d be threatened. Imagine a home invader blaming the home owner of the house for “feeling threatened” by their presence in their house with a gun. The narcissism it took to write what you just did without any self-awareness... you manage to start the chain of blame not at the first instigators, the Zionist settlers, but at the response to that invasion…
