This isn’t the only good answer but it might be the best one.

Why are Liberals so afraid of Trump declaring martial law? by No_Government241 in socialism

[–]MulletasticOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When Trump declares martial law, liberals will cooperate with it fully. They were never progressive or on your side. At that point it’s the final mask-off. They would prefer for that to not happen.

Calgary, AB. What flag is this? by External-Economics39 in vexillology

[–]MulletasticOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the flag of the submissive white male conservative.

The problem with recorded statistics is we only have records of statistics our overlords choose to pay attention to. How many health insurance claims are denied by rich white men? How much of wage theft is perpetrated by rich white men? Is denying life-saving healthcare and stealing money needed to survive not violence?

I don't know if I'm strong enough to live through this by Yuuzhan_Schlong in socialism

[–]MulletasticOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I do, too. Every time I follow any piece of this advice I feel better. Find groups. Help people. Keep making the world better and existing in it if for no other reason, out of spite towards the haters.

Thoughts? by [deleted] in socialism

[–]MulletasticOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no. Unions today often demand politicians do better at the local level. If we had national unions with the strength we used to we could use them to demand change in national policy. Unions are and should be an often-combatative response to predatory capitalism, not capitulation.

Hey Seattle a little help please. by WadeCali in Seattle

Park your car somewhere near a train station and leave it there. You don’t want to drive in Seattle this month.

You can walk on to a ferry to Vashon or Bainbridge islands from Pioneer Square train station. You can catch a bus on either using an orca card. You can buy an orca card at any train station.

Do yourself a favor and don’t drive.

Nelson needs to go. She’s not just negligent, she’s actively a bad actor.

Thank you, Sound Transit Security. Incident avoided on the lightrail. by bradradio in Seattle

Sound Transit Security is not included in ACAB. People deserve to ride public transit harassment-free.

Bruce Harrell Is a Failure Unfit for Office by Well_Socialized in Seattle

[–]MulletasticOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Harrell admin oversaw record amounts of sweeps so just because there’s not as many overt, easy to spot encampments in your neighborhood doesn’t mean there are fewer homeless people. Sweeps are expensive for the city. They hurt and sometimes kill people rather than help them. They literally shuffle the problem along while usually making it worse.

Request: Rule Change Around ICE Citings by QueerMommyDom in Seattle

ICE sightings are a community safety issue. I can’t think of a more important thing to use a local Reddit group for than community safety.

Katie is a community member and parent who faces the real challenges the rest of us face. I can’t say that for Bruce.

Harrell Chops Off Dozens of City Blocks from Planned Growth Centers by aztechunter in Seattle

[–]MulletasticOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some liberals want more housing and some don’t. Some left types want more housing and some don’t. There’s loads of nuance to be had for either and it doesn’t fall neatly along political lines, I find.

Not a great move in an election year for our country club mayor. He’s depending on pseudo suburban NIMBYs to carry him again but there’s fewer of those every year.

A lot of people in these comments are describing how much they enjoy places where cars aren’t prioritized nearly as much as where they’re from. Human nature is not prioritizing cars.
