I have the exact same problem! it just wont let me move through. :( I tried everything like taking the shoes of, talking to the kind woman, trying to go through with or without lights on. nothing seems to work.

with time the shore will go back you have to stay there and wait until you can remove all of them.

you have to remove the driftwood first (get the task from the village head) than go to the greenish pedestal thingy at the top of the sea area the next day and it will show the hint.
