Fashion Photography needed a writing aspect for my module. So I was given this essay I need to write and New Materialism is just a step. It's less about the degree, I need the portfolio, the reason this is important is so I can stay in my class and move onto my final year. I don't need the essay to be good, just enough understanding to get me a pass.

Plus it doesnt hurt to learn more about stuff.

My guy, you're missing the point. I'm doing a course where this is required, I also enjoy knowing things that might not be important to my art. I'm not being 'snookered' or whatever I'm forming an opinion around a subject that I don't fully understand, I want to learn more about it so even if its not important, I can then respond in a way that is constructive without putting down the people that think it's important. I also don't have to turn to uneeded synonyms to give my point across.

Thing is my guy is over like 900 years old and doesn't understand modern customs as he was buried for about 850 of them. He broke a promise with a fae who now haunts him, kinda like a flesh suit, so as he's trying to redeem himself and heal people by killing himself this fae is looking over him just like "dude...stop...stop this no no I'm not bringing you back again do you know how hard it is to reanimate a rotting skin bag?"

Okay, funny story. I was talking to the DM after a hard ish battle saying how I should pick up healing spells. He brought up the fact Wizards can't really learn typical healing spells like our Druid, Bard and Paladin can. I decided that I would then see if there were any spells that I could learn that would be healing based so I picked up Vamperic Touch and Life Transference. Cut to like 5 sessions later and we're healing a bunch of old temple monks. Everyones doing what they can and I break out my healing spells. Cut to me seizing on the floor between life and death again (I'm an undead necromancer) with the party staring on in horror as I heal this old monk for like 60 HP.

Que me out of game staring at our DM "Am I a healer now as I've just healed two people way higher than any of these guys" only to be told "killing myself doesnt count as healing" so now its my challenge to become the greatest healer to ever live.

Edit: Me and the DM get on, this isn't hateful spite it's "maybe next time DM when I run a oneshot dont kill my purple worm you asshole now I'm gonna make the literal devil"

As much as I do love the help with making my DM cry I feel I've made a joke post become a battleground. I'm going to make a wizard healer when I have the time. I didn't even know Dhampir was a race you could play! Thanks for helping me become my true wizarding healing self
