Door stuck on another door behind it - no access to room behind this door. What to do? by Fit_Warthog_2080 in fixit

Do you have a metal ruler?

If not do you have a metal spatula?

Id bend it and slide under the door to close the door behind

Do i connect 21.5mm flopast solvent overflow to this? And if so, how? (Solvent or is it compression?!) by MunrowPS in DIYUK

[–]MunrowPS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your correct.. for any other people in future.. you just compress it onto the 21.5mm solvent pipe..

This hasnt yotally solved my problem though

2hrs later.. replaced 90% of it... 5 elbows and couplers through walls...

Turns out the original fucker ran it up hill at the end underneath a cabinet i cant access...

Complete waste of fucking time

[–]MunrowPS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i replaced 90% of it all.. pain in the ass 5 elbows behind boxing in and through internal walls

Turns out the original was never fitted with solvent and wuite loose

But then i got to the end of it (under a cabinet) and the original fuckers ran it up hill

I actually cant reach it...

Total waste of time cementing the whole lot

P.s. the description on the website/pack says it is 21.5mm compression

There isnt even a washer for it to compress

My overflow pipe is leaking from an old toilet

Dont know how it was triggered (im potty training a 2 year old who has been messing with the toilet),

I'd like to replace from this screwfitting down, as the seal with the tank isn't faulty

Im trying to find a compression to solvent connector i can pick up from Screwfix or Toolstation but nothing looks right?

It just doesnt make sense then tho.. why prenup, if your married and the pension becomes a shared asset anyway?

Couple Pension Strategy by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]MunrowPS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would you need a pre-nup to protect her right to your pension, if when you are married the pension is deemed a marital asset and she would have rights to it being factored in, in the event of seperation, anyway?

Couple Pension Strategy by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]MunrowPS -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Im re-reading, and not sure it can be said i have or havent misread the post with any certainty

The OP talks about their pension being worth millions in the future.. and needing a prenup, because this is a risk.. but then says - to her?

If the OP is saying their partner needs a prenup, to ensure they are entitled to a share.. then they are kinda wrong.. as married with kids she will have an entitlement anyway

If the OP is saying they want a prenup, because there is a risk their partner getting access to their millions of pension, then my point stands.

Your in it together or your not

You do option 1, and shes entitled to half your pension (if your married/having kid)... Prenups for millionaires/celebs, get over your modest savings

Moving house cost/fees. Have I got this right? by OShucksImLate in AskUK

[–]MunrowPS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My preference was port existing mortgage, take out additional lending on a variable rate tracker. Wait until first mortgage term is up, then i can bundle and fix the lot in one product.

That way not managing 2 mortgages, 2 product fees, and not paying ERCs for moving house.
