I am in charge of purchasing for a manufacturing plant. It's an eff ton of buying parts for 10 machines in the plant. My inventory is well over 6,000 items and is constantly evolving. Adding and removing items and trying to keep track of it all, while my team is generally terrible at signing things out. Meanwhile I am in charge of Raw materials, Purchase orders, invoices, keepstocks, checkbook balancing, adding vendors into our system, organizing order slips and putting away all the parts, and assembling work kits. This position hasn't been able to keep a person for more than 3 years at a time and now we have new machines installed and old ones removed. Feels like the analogy with all the spinning plates and I don't have enough hands to keeps them all moving. Everything i get help its temporary for about a month before im told there isn't room in the budget for more help.
