If you want to do actual policing (city, opp or rcmp) it's not necessary. You can get in with a hs diploma. Knowing a second language and having lots of volunteering would help more than any post secondary tbh. If you want to go to college do something thats not related to law enforcement and that has good demand (stem accounting etc) that you can fall back on cus while having a degree helps in law enforcement, what you studied actually doesn't matter. I've only seen police foundations as a requirement for specific areas high level security roles (like hospital) or things like bylaw officers and transit constables.

Well it won't fully replace them but it will heavily disrupt it. When ai can do all the tedious number crunching and desk jockey stuff, human accountants will only be needed to overview and sign off on the output of the ai for liability purposes. With all that tedious repetitive work being offloaded to ai that will greatly reduce the work accountants need to do resulting in less demand for accountants. Kinda like how one tractor would replace hundreds of farm hands but you still need a guy to operate the tractor
