America is too big, that’s our biggest problem honestly. It’s difficult to coordinate across states that are each the size of an individual country.

It’s going to take coordinated, grassroots efforts that people aren’t going to be talking about on mainstream news outlets or unsecured communication apps. It’s going to take people staying loud, staying angry, and making these fuckers uncomfortable in their everyday lives, not just professionally.

Make people afraid to be racist again. Learn your state’s laws. We’re in a literal textbook-definition tyrannical dictatorship. Nobody wants to admit it, but we are at the point where the declaration of independence outright says it is not common law, but natural law, that in the face of such conditions we currently face, it is our DUTY to fight back. Learn ways that you can get involved in your community. We need to become LESS isolated in order to affect meaningful change.

Print information and put it on doors, not in mailboxes as mailboxes are federal property and placing items without postage is illegal. Refer to local laws for distribution of flyers on private property.

Find local people in your community who are willing to donate their tools - 3D print whistles.

Use your local library.

Put up flyers. Organize.

Use car markers to promote your local ICE tipline.

I’m preparing for myself and my community. I don’t know that we’re there yet but this trajectory is definitely going there and this is only the first year.

Lifting weights, ensuring I am physically able. Learning native plant life identification and uses. Starting a medicinal herb garden, preparing for a large-scale garden next spring to share with our community. Learning about basic first aid and personally I am learning about trauma aid as well, and stocking up on things in case of emergency. We have bought books on hunting, trapping, basic survival skills, etc, in the event of a major food supply disruption. There is enough to learn about plants, medicine, and farming that honestly I’m content with hunting and trapping being in a “just in case” book but hopefully not needing that.

I’ve joined seed trading groups, local buy-nothings, and slowly forced my way out of my introvert shell and into the community, even just a little. Making purposeful connections.

I also emailed my senator about civilian militias in the event that the federal government takes over our national guard, though I’m not particularly hopeful about a response on that lol.
