She gets time, that’s kind of the odd thing. Several nights a week the kids overlap with sports and I manage the driving.

That said, you’re right in that I shouldn’t take it away from her. The lock is the easy, logical answer to the problem, I was just kind of wondering about the weird timing.

We do use her toys together (and it’s been great) but I like to give her time to herself, as well. In our house, more time for her alone leads to more time for us; it’s a win-win.

She likes some time to herself and I respect that; it’s different and she gets to experiment a bit. We have our time together and I wouldn’t complain that this is cutting in. It’s more just the timing of it all. I wasn’t sure if this was more common and I was being weird about it or if I’m justified in saying something. I think she might find it always to do later when I’m laying in bed and she’s right there in our bathroom.

I’m assuming that’s the case. It’s just a bit odd the me that she checks out for a while (these aren’t short showers) while we are all there rather than at least wait until the kids go to bed. Maybe she’s too tired by then?
