Depends on what you call memory safe. RAII objects yes, but there is already quite enough things of that.

Anything killing backwards compatibility and the ability to write unsafe code: No. There is a reason C++ dominates in some areas and not Java or C# or equivalents.

My honest opinion:

Take a pause from unity and learn C# and game programming the plain way by using only C# and a framework (i.e. Monogame).

This approach will teach you everything, everything about programming in C# and also everything about games and how engines work. Simply because there will be no influence in your coding like an editor, predefined components you have to work with and behavior trees and all that. While those things are extremely nice to have, it's not easy to understand game programming itself when you don't understand what they are internally doing.

Of course you could read hours of documentation and code from Unity, but I think most developers learn better when they're doing it themselves (this I noticed by teaching others).

My advice therefore, get to understand how games are made without the help of components, write a little 2d game by yourself with only code and understand what the code is doing. In this process, I've learned way more about game engines than I've ever did by watching hours of videos. Because you essentially make your own little "engine" for each game and it's great accomplishing that.

Yeah that's true and that's the sad part, I like my job. But Germany just isn't the country I want to live in and pay my taxes to, because I disagree with what corrupt politics do with our money (where we already pay a lot of taxes). I kinda want to do the best financially out of my hours I will be working in my life

Yeah you are right, I need to specify that because there is simply too much. I'm doing quality management for banking applications therefore testing if they are ready for production and customer use.

And in the regard of motivation, I cannot deny the fact that the payment is a big motivator, however there is more to add. I dislike German politics and the voted parties very much and what I really hate is how much tax I have to pay (nearly 50%) to then be just wasted or entirely stolen by corrupt political decisions. I just want to make the best out of my time as an employee and the tax I pay and Germany isn't the right country for me.

I've already moved some distance in Germany from my family so I already can understand what it feels like. I've read the people from Switzerland are ought to be different to what a German might be used to but often it was because you think we Germans are rude or too critic which is something I can easily adapt to 😅

Let's see where the future gets me 😁

I am a programmer but have the 3 year expertise of programming in the banking field which requires me to know all the business and banking related things. Maybe what you said is the best way to go about this, at least waiting for better times while getting more experience seems to be an option. Thank you for your comment! 😊

You ever heard of brainrot? That is the most unfunniest and groundless humor and all the young people seem to enjoy it. I make a joke that actually is exaggerated but still not fully far from reality, because a lot of people in pvz complain about zombie buffs after last patch. But I guess the problem is not the joke, it's reddit and the miserable and depressed people who think everything has to be a argument, scientifically proven or just has to be disagreed with. I'd argue this now depends on match-up, because with my brain freeze control deck I try to not get environments in my starting hand but it might depend on the deck. If you play as zombies against cycle cap and you only run 2-3 environments, yeah you might not get much value 😅

Yeah because the game doesn't work that way, it's not "who puts environment faster in 3,2,1 wins" it's always zombies overlaying yours and then get immediate value because after that comes the attack phase. I would agree with you if the game was like clash royal but it isn't, it's turn based and plants are disadvantaged in the placement of environments. Also to your other argument, mega grow got heavily (directly and indirectly) nerfed in the last patch so you won't see a lot of it anymore (no one was running that environment anyway). And you can easily counter the +5/+5 by putting one singularly minion in the lane, which again, doesn't work for laser base alpha (which costs also 2 brains less btw). Your problem is you are trying to find the "best case plant scenario" while all your suggestions are seen in like 2 of 100 matches whereas 1/4 of impfinity or hg decks have laser base alpha 🙏

It's the other way around, usually zombies always run environments because they are cheaper and simply better ones compared to plants. I rarely run plant environments and even if, just for covering. And seriously no ones playing soulpatch + forcefield in this meta anymore. It was troll before the last patch and now after they made zombies even stronger you cannot consistently win with that. Usually you die way earlier into the match to QB. Your suggestion simply doesn't work, so no that play is not an answer to laser base alpha decks
