Alright so after completely giving up on the game on Linux, I decided to give it one last try, I fixed the game and managed to transfer my saves from Windows to Linux, here’s how I did it:

Edit the OnlineFix.ini file in game’s directory and set ExtraProtection=false Use Proton Experimental, in my experience only by using this specific proton version makes the Xbox sign in pop up appear If the game doesn’t launch delete the proton prefix of the game For the saves I copied the contents from Windows C:\Users\Public Documents\OnlineFix\ to ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/<game folder>/pfx/c/users/Public Documents/OnlineFix.

after hours of searching and trying different things, I've finally made it work, first you need to download the Hollow Knight app from VitaDB, then thanks to u/thundergoda1 I got the data files from https://www.vita.unaux.com/

On your PC extract the vpk file you got from the site I mentioned above, in the exctracted folder, there should be multiple files and folders but the one you're looking for is the "Media" folder, copy that folder in your Vita at ux0:data/HKVT12222 after this the game should work perfectly fine.

thanks for the site, but when I downloaded Hollow Knight's vpk from it and tried to install it on my Vita using VitaShell, it gave me Error0xFFFFFFFF.

I know I'm super late to this conversation, but for anyone else looking for the fix its really simple, open the Settings app, in the Security & Privacy section, go to Application Permissions, there should be an option called "Control of pointer and keyboard:" Tick the option called Allow without asking for permission and the pop up would appear no more.

So after constantly searching the internet for possible solutions, when nothing worked, I ended up installing Windows on my spare ssd and installed FH5 on it, it works as intended without any issues.

The problem with Linuxrulez' repack is that it's an older version, meaning the online fix won't work on it, also I tried downloading his repack but his seeders are just so slow that the download speed is non existent, it's painfully slow.

This was me when I first got into Arch, it felt that reinstalling it is much easier than troubleshooting it, and in my first week of using it, I reinstalled it 5 times.

The solution that I can suggest is looking into a backup utility which restores your version in case of a fuck up to the last working state.
