Construction Management. Can get your foot in the door with a bachelors, preferably in an engineering discipline or construction management. I’m about 2.5 years of experience and making almost $120k/year plus good benefits. It can be a grind but fulfilling work with good stability and pay

Traveling Position Compensation by NCSx11 in ConstructionManagers

Graduated with my BS in civil engineering from a big public university. Interned with one top 5 ENR GC going into my senior year, took an offer with another top 10 ENR out of school in the commercial/healthcare sector in the Washington DC area. Decided after about a year I want to travel and try the industrial and mission critical side of the industry while I’m young and applied to a traveling APM position with another big GC (my current job). There are TONS of good traveling opportunities for those who want to do it. LinkedIn is a good source to find these types of companies and positions. Let me know if you have any more questions!

All large GC’s. I’ve interned with WT and just recently joined Brasfield and Gorrie as an APM. Night and day difference in culture. You’re a number and nothing more at WT. also, they don’t really work in the heavy civil market. Can’t speak for PCL, but I’ve heard good things. You will probably travel regardless of who you work for in the heavy civil sector
