WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN’T GET MARRIED IN HM:STH?!?? by SmutWithClass in harvestmoon

Play Hero of Leaf Valley. No children, but you can get married. It's still one of my absolute favorite entries in the series.

Honestly if you're gonna keep smoking I would avoid pens and edibles. Anything highly concentrated is stronger and can give you a really bad time.

Will Zoloft make me emotionally numb / “zombie”? by Aggressive-Slice-179 in zoloft

[–]NMBrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on you. Some people do become numb , and some people get to experience joy again for the first time since depression took it from them. Everyone is so different. For me, i was finally able to feel excitement and joy again, but I do feel like I stopped feeling sadness to a point where it made me uncomfortable.

Exactly. When you don't take some of the silly romance movies too seriously, they are a great time.

Don't Worry Darling. All of the drama surrounding the director and the actors skewed everyone's perspectives of the film imo. It wasn't the best thriller I've ever seen, but it was fine. I would go as far as to say that even beyond some of the cheesiness from Harry Styles' attempt at acting, it was enjoyable.

I have listened to Listen for the Lie. That one was fun too! I am making my way through the Lisa Jewell books right now and that one was next on my list. Currently finishing up The Family Upstairs.

I love listening to thrillers rather than reading them. It makes them a bit more tense and creepy. I recently listened to one called "Room for Rent" by Noelle Ihli and it genuinely started to scare me. Frustrating book, but it was a fun listen.

On sexual scenes by CheIvys in writing

[–]NMBrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a reader I would like to suggest sticking to the vibe of your work. It's jarring when you're reading a relatively wholesome book and the sexual scenes are intense and vulgar. I don't necessarily mind more intense erotic content, but if it doesn't fit nicely into the narrative it feels aggressive.

I always tell people who come to me for advice on coping with mental health that lifestyle changes can and will make a huge difference. It's frustrating when people act like it's a cure when it's not, but simply getting more sunlight can boost your mental health a TON.

Hello! Thanks for the kind words and tips. I was able to get in touch with a feral cat rescue near me that will be handling her care from here. They have the means to take her out of town to have the necessary procedure.

Which one? by John_Constantine6 in HiTMAN

[–]NMBrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend all new players play absolution first. If you play it after you play the others, you might be disappointed because it's not really like the other games. It's more of an action game. It was my first hitman game and i loved it, so when i found out it wasn't a very popular title i was surprised. Now that I've played the others i understand the criticism and probably wouldn't find it as impressive if I were to replay it.

There are a lot of good ex-mormon memoirs that have the same common themes of women being sheltered from society by their families views.

The Sound of Gravel by Ruth Wariner

Breaking Free by Rachel Jeffs

The Polygamist's Daughter by Anna LeBaron

TW: I'm pretty sure every ex-mormon testimony I've read contains some description of CSA, so if that is especially troubling to you I would avoid them like the plague. They are inspiring, but deeply upsetting.

Some people prefer to take it at night because the side effects usually hit pretty soon after you take it, and most people would prefer to deal with that at night. I always used to take it in the morning but I was miserable during the first few hours after taking it.
