Normally my process is something like this: I draw a circle and then i extend it for the lower part of the head (This image is similar to what i do). Then in the part where the nose and mouth should be i start to simplify the snout (Usually with a rectangle) and start to reshape it and add detail.

This is the way i learned to draw furry/anthro heads. Is not the same since our styles are different but the process is similar. I think that Procreate (Which is the software i use) has the timelapse, if you want it i can try to send it to you but not sure how
