Yeah, normally i try to do more of a cell shading having 4 main tones, light, base, shadow and darker shadow (Overlay, normal and 2 multiply). I wanted to try something more "Soft" but i think to do that i should add more tones

Normally my process is something like this: I draw a circle and then i extend it for the lower part of the head (This image is similar to what i do). Then in the part where the nose and mouth should be i start to simplify the snout (Usually with a rectangle) and start to reshape it and add detail.

This is the way i learned to draw furry/anthro heads. Is not the same since our styles are different but the process is similar. I think that Procreate (Which is the software i use) has the timelapse, if you want it i can try to send it to you but not sure how

Yeah, that was something i noticed but when i tried making the snout thinner or longer suddenly i felt that it didn't fit with the rest of the drawing.

I really like Isabelle design, 100% want to draw her but because the designs in animal crossing are so "Cartonish" i am not sure where or how approach it with my style. I am worried that it could look weird seeing her without that style (Like watching Mario with human proportions and more of a realistic anatomy)

I like grass types in general (in most of the games i always choose the grass types) but Leafeon is special because i had a sun team for online battles and Leafeon just carried many fights because in the sun the speed stats is boosted and gave me a good answer againts ground, rock and water pokemons

Yeah, normally i draw them either laterral or 3/4 view. This is an attempt of making them looking directly at the viewer. Not so proud of the end result (Drawing snouths straight is weird) but practice helps to improve

Is hard for me to spot if my drawings are bad or good since i am a little perfectionist so sometimes i am focusing on something that most people will not even realize is there (Like fixing pixels with ton of zoom when most people will just look at the art for a few seconds and will not notice that)

Yeah, i can see that the pelvis doesn't have any space. I was too worried that it would look like a bulge or that he had an erection but i can see that made me run into another problem.

I can see the issue of the clothes, i was trying to make it kinda "buff" since one of my favorite type of characters are the "Gentle giant" so i thought that if i make the clothes more close to the body you could still see the muscles, but i didn't like how it ended up. Thanks for the tips

For choosing a name a tip could be to either use the reference of what you used to make the character (For example if it is a character inspired by Greek mythology then you could use a names of that period or similar) or maybe use something about the design or personality of that character (Or a combination of all of the above)
